Character Requested: sadly he has no canon name
Canon: Pokémon Pt (though it's reasonable to assume he exists in DP)
Relationship: Cyrus's grandfather

Brief Description: What we know about him is scarce, but what we DO know is that he knew that Cyrus was going insane due to the pressure his parents put on him and wondered if he should take the boy in and raise him himself...and also that he didn't, and has come to regret this to the point where he confesses his guilt to random strangers who wander into his house. This weighs heavily on him--even telling someone is "burdening them". I have a fair amount of headcanon for him (that he was a scientist, that he acted as a postwar defender of the northern island, that he's friends with the other old folks on the island, that he has a Sandslash, and so on), but none of it is actually in the game.
References: He has no individual sprite but appears as a Gentleman-class trainer. He's likely to be in his 80s.
Are they dead?: Not as far as we know, though if someone wanted to establish that he is, it HAS been a few years since DPPt took place...
