GOOD AFTERNOON AND EVENING SMASH ACADEMY.

It's that time of year where every mall and major retailer conveniently forgets every major holiday and event between now and December 25th! I hope you know what that means! It's time to gather up your creative spirits and warm up those gift giving hearts.

IT'S SECRET SANTA TIME!!

To all of our delightful new bloods in the game, each year we hold a secret santa exchange! People make up their wish lists, and then they create art and fic for each other! It's totally rad and an excellent time for everyone each year. You can take a glimpse of how things go down!

It's super fun, and everyone is encouraged to join in. EVERYONE. ♥

Special thanks to Pixle for organizing this every year! This time it's me behind the wheel. Please be gentle u3u~ In light of the business of schedules and a general want to avoid confusion, there will be just one round this year! But with all of this extra cush room, people can hopefully get as many done as they would like to u3u


HOW IT WORKS:

• First you sign up! These will be due November 15th.
  
• Wishlists will be distributed to Santa's (that's all of you) on the 16th.
  
• At least one gift is due by December 17th!
  
  • This is the deadline to tell me if you can finish your gifts or not!
    
  • If not, the Backup Santas will be alerted of their incoming tasks.
    
  • If you can, and if you are a backup, the final due date is December 23rd for the rest of your presents.
  
  
• Submissions will be sent to me (Bret) to compile together for you (You).
  
• Providing everything goes according to plan, the festivities will happen December 24th or 25th~

Shit Let's Be Santa:

You do not have to be an artist to participate! Fics are just as beloved gifts ♥

• The minimum requirement of requests to fill is one (1). You can do as many or as few as you want as long as you complete one.
  
  • You do not have to stress over doing all of them. No stressing over gifts, bros ♥ Just do as many as you feel comfortable!
    
  • Quality over Quantity!
  
  
• By joining the exchange, you are committed to adhering to the minimum requirement of 1 request before the due date.
  
  • Fills don't have to be the epitome of perfection, but try to aim for at least one nice sketch or a drabble by then.
    
  • If you feel like you can't complete your part, let me know! Shit happens. We'll work it out ♥
  
  
• This part is important: Don't post your stuff anywhere! No WIPS, no slips in your art journals, not on deviantART… You don't want to ruin the surprise! You can post them where ever you please after the big post goes up! I know that's a long time to wait, but it will be super wonderful I promise!!
  
• You have the opportunity to be a super sweet Backup Santa! These fine ladies and gentleman are there to backup anyone who is getting life tossed to them. You are highly valued and your assistance would be greatly appreciated ♥

Things to Keep in Mind While Writing Your Wishlist:

• Make a few wishes that give your Santa a good idea of something specific you might want. Giving them a little freedom is great, but giving them a little direction is super great! They'll have a better idea of how to give you something they know you'll like!
  
• Group things are always fun, but try not to make every request one! As excellent as they are, they can also be a little overwhelming.
  
• Try to fill out the whole list! This provides your Santa with the most amount of options and opportunities.
  
• You can totally ask for things that have nothing to do with your own characters if that's what you really want! You will still be responsible for providing adequate references, however.
  
• Some of your requests should be geared towards writing prompts! Some Santas are far more comfortable with their writing pens, and catering to them means they can better cater to you~ The more flexible your prompts, the better!
  
• Requests can be as tame or as naughty as you'd like `3`
