CHARACTER/GAME PERSONALS - FEBRUARY 2014

► GOALS & DIRECTIONS: Hey, some of us have been here a really long time and might not know what direction to take our characters in anymore, or maybe you've been here only a few days and don't know where to start. There's no better time to start than now, so don't be afraid to express what things you'd like to do with your characters, regardless if it's something that might happen in the near future or a long ways away. Fall in love? Fall out of love? Graduate? Experience what it's like to be the opposite gender? An animal? In the body of someone else? Save the world? Try to destroy it? The more other players are aware of what you want to do, the better your chances are of making your wishes into reality!

► THIRD PARTY SUGGESTIONS: Suggest new CR or character ideas, even if it has nothing to do with your own characters. Just put a "THIRD PARTY SUGGESTION" in the title of your comment when you browse the Character Plotting threads, and who knows? Maybe you just suggested a great interaction or idea no one has ever thought of before. And don't forget to spread the love around with as many people as you can so everyone gets a suggestion or two!

Temperatures as still crisp but things will get hot hot hot come mid-month.

Or cute and fluffy, however you want to work it. That's right Cupid Bots are coming Friday the 14th, so make sure you hash out your shenanigans.

Even before that though, love is definitely in the air! Goombella and Knuckles are getting married on Saturday the 8th. The log is up already!

And as always, intermittent plots and events are more than welcome. Or hey, maybe hash some ideas out for the future months to come.

Samus: NO PLANS REALLY other than vaguely an Armed Weaponry class log. Not sure I'll do anything with her for Cupid Bots (unless one-sided!) but I'm very open and encouraging of developing NEW CR. She could probably use it.

Rick: Will be put on the backburner a bit as I did a lot of schmoozing with him last month and the month before. HOWEVER! I am totally open for things if you want to get cupid bot crazy with a cold metal sphere andor scruffy smelly blonde guy. He's been sick with the sick as a human lately, but as soon as he poofs back into a core he'll be cured (and never learn the merits of good hygiene). Alternatively I'll stop being a shmuck and finish that Adventure 101 class finally ha ha ha...

Yamada: I think I'd like to focus on most this month. WHO WANTS TO FALL IN LOVE WITH A GUY WHO will never love you back because you aren't 2D ~~and perpetually smells like con-funk because of his roommate~~...?! Alternatively I'll stop being a shmuck and start Anime Club finally ha ha ha...

Goals & Directions:
Falcon WOW maybe one day I'll do an autoshop class. Other than that he's just being around, doing his important Captain Falcon things. If anyone wants to have some kind of ADVENTURE or something he's good for those kinds of things. Going to sit out cupid bots with him, I think, but he is always available to be crushed on for maximum awkwardness. ~~there are lots of old guys his age now let's all go get blitzed~~

Zelda is always open for RA shenanigans or just general tea parties and advice and good company. I'd love to get Sheik out a little more this month. There's a THING I want to do with her. I might need a few (2-4?) INTREPID EXPLORERS for this thing. Inquire within. Open in both directions for cupid bots things (especially with Sheik let's do it).

Aoi is getting pretty settled! I am, however, always open for more friends and people to bother. She likes food and sports and is currently dating Ishimaru and she has no idea to go about it. WHO WANTS TO GIVE HER ADVICE??? Also open in both directions for cupid bots things.

Wheatley is, as always, being Wheatley if you need something from the library or an explosion or something. Available to be cupid bot crushed-on, but as he is a robot I think he will be sitting out.

Seeking: apart from boyfriends doing things, I'm utterly undecided about what to do for Valentine's. I definitely want to involve Inigo in cupidbots somehow, but I'm not sure whether to put him up for the randomizer or if it'd be more interesting if he falls for a dude, if a girl legit wants to jump him and he's actually too much of a weenie to know what do, uhhh. Naoya is a weird one too, but someone liking him one-sided is a bit too similar to his everyday existence that I probably wouldn't do that.

Anyway, Valentine's aside, I'm working my RP drive with new character while on hiatus for new job. Inigo could use everything, but I'm super nervous about if I'm getting him right so I welcome feedback. Let me know if you want to continue the old threads I've left hanging, hopefully I can find my voice again soon and I will stop being a turd.

Goals & Directions: So I guess a bunch of life ruining events are going to be compounding all at once or something which means very soon I'll get to do That Thing I've been dreaming of since 2012 so.... YEAH. A good time to make new friends/enemies ~~probably enemies~~ approaches.

Character(s): Schezo Wegey, a misunderstood dark wizard striving to master his own magic while ~~failing at~~ teaching beginners magic
Seeking: Anything and everything, mainly expanding on CR
Goals & Directions: Schezo is staffed as a teacher, so I would like him to grow as a teacher not only from the regular teachings, but also gaining a possible disciple or something.

Or have people to bug him in general.

Valentines-wise, I threw a personal up in the planning thread, if you'd like to do something with that.

Max: Big, burly bossy guy with blue hair and biceps.
Apple Kid: Strange inventor with a pet mouse, bad smells, and a cheerful attitude.
Bowser: A dragonturtle douchebag king who is petty and jealous and doesn't like anything unless it flatters him somehow.
Jock: A fuzzy arcanine man who loves Blue more than the world and likes to have friends but who is sometimes over-emotional.
Hagakure: A strange psychic who would be suffering from PTSD if he had the brains to be doing so, who likes money, weird objects, and is generally friendly, if you can get past all of the weird.

Seeking: All of the things.

Goals & Directions:
Max: I still need to make. A class log. For Max. So that everybody. Can punch things. Continuing to work at his blacksmithing area. Training Vinnie. Working out all of his biceps. If you need a friendly, manliest man, this is your manliest man.

Apple Kid: Apple Kid is a strange one who is hard to find things to do with unless it requires a sort of creepy, odd genius. He can invent an invention for you, if you want it. He needs more CR desperately. I haven't done much with him in the past month. He needs a breath of life.

Bowser: Still having fun with Sunshine Mortimer and with making the people he hates as miserable as possible. Having way too much fun with Itchymarbles right now. Could always use more CR or could use another person to antagonize for no reason whatsoever. I promise to be creative in my ways of making your character's life hellish.

Jock: Still overly-emotional around and about Blue and overly protective as well. He has a good group of brofriends, but ladyfriends are also welcome. He likes to be friends with everybody. He's probably due for a reckoning with his choice in friends and Blue at some point. MONDO.

Hagakure: Still needs more friends. Will tell you your fortune for a price and/or for strange objects. Will probably have a melt-down over something nonsensical. Is easily manipulated into doing stupid things. Needs to get into some sort of hijinks or capers. Probably going to to freak out over a lot of things.

Seeking: EVERYTHING, Meeting new people is especially great

Goals & Directions:

Hajime is apparently about to attempt a school uprising. I suppose this is a good chance for people to take note of him, either for inspiration or derision. The Cheer Squad has been shedding members and is always accepting new tryouts. No plans for Valentines.

ATLAS does not understand the strange ways of you organic creatures, it is confused, where are the tests. It's in serious need of some people to either guide it effectively, maybe to autonomy, or manipulate its trusting manner for their own gain. It doesn't care! It's here to help!!!

Goals & Directions: Post Valentines Cid is going to dive into getting home with renewed vigor. He is going to do this by building a new ship. A ship that mixes engineering, magic, futuretech, and anything else he can muster at this school. It's going to be a doozy. I haven't decided if that ship will work yet.

Goals & Directions:
Pit: He's been flapping around loosely in the breeze as far as character direction goes, which is perfectly fine for him since his own personal goals are just to cultivate himself as a fighter so he can do his angelic duty better, which happens off-screen most of the time. I think I'd like to bounce him off completely new people and get all kinds of relationships started- he can be that annoyingly upbeat dweeby kid who gets on people's nerves. Something I'd like to explore is the uncertain part of him that feels directionless when someone's not around to tell him what to do. Moral dilemmas, how to cope with negative feelings, making decisions... He's already had a traumatic experience that still gets to him sometimes when he allows himself to dwell on it and he had no idea what to think on his own, but at the same time, it opened up dark sores that were hidden from view and that was kind of interesting to play with. His friends are all getting married too!! That's crazy! It might be interesting to see how that impacts him, too.

Mondo: Mondo's immediate personal goal is to demolish his false conception of strength and rebuild himself into a man with a true foundation of strength. Even with life-changing events, it's difficult to do when you're not sure how to go about it exactly, but I'd like to focus in a bit on the process of that personal development rather than constantly show how much he fails to demonstrate self-control and confront his problems correctly. Beyond that, he has concerns about the far future as well, but since his life got twisted upside-down and all around it's hard for him to focus on anything but adapting to this new environment, which, by now, he's done to a decent extent. He's also discovered a pastime to waste time with the new video craze called ~~vines~~ Pitfall! because Mondo enjoys both shocking an audience and fucking around. It's really stupid. Mondo's having a lot of relationship woes in his life because Kiyotaka is and will be having a lot of drama and an eventual loss of authority (?!??!), which affects and will affect him. For one, his bro is dating Aoi and while he's proud of him for landing a girlfriend he is SO. BUTTHURT. ABOUT IT. In a prism of ways. This will likely spur him to pursue a girlfriend even more than he has in the past because he's so jealous it aches, and with Valentine's Day coming up, OUCH. Another one of his goals is trying to build Chihiro's trust and friendship, which is going along pretty well. I think I'd like to have him connect with his other DR classmates a bit more and branch out to cross-canon CR as well.

Rhys: Not too much is going on with Rhys, which is nice for him, since last year was turmoil. He and Ulki are raising a little sparrow together, and lately he's been kind of fanatic about the Harry Potter series that Vianca introduced to him which hasn't shown up much onscreen, but is so totally there!! And with weddings coming up, he's been asked to perform officiation rites and since it's a new thing for him, he's gonna practice. He lost some of his infirmary staff so he finds himself working a little harder, which has lead him to get sick more often as a result. He'll get used to the change. As far as goals, I think the only thing I am looking for is to build stronger relationships with his CR. I know I haven't been on the ball with it, but I'd like to at least try and get it rolling (with ALL my characters!).

Goals & Directions:
Eggman - I’m hoping to eventually give him the Death Egg back, or even the Death Egg Mk II. But that won’t be for a little while yet. But I’m open to anything with him.

Blaze - She’s gained the ability to go back and forth between Smash and her home dimension, and that means she can bring people back and forth with her. So that opens up a few new things. Otherwise I’d love to get her some new CR.

Daisy - Daisy is in need of new CR badly. She has very little going on in terms of directions and goals, and I’d like to fix that.

Jolt - He doesn’t really have a lot going on right now, but I’m open to suggestions. Sparring and having fun, the kind of stuff he loves.

R.O.B. - He hasn’t got a lot going on either, and I’d love to fix that too. He needs some CR and to get involved in more activities.

Shantae - She’s got quite a bit going on, but she could always use more. Looking to get her some new CR and get her involved in things!

Goombella - With her upcoming wedding, she’s got a lot of potential for things to do. I’d love to get her involved in planning with friends and such.

As far as Valentine Cupid Bots go, I don't really have any plans at all for it. Let me know if you want to do anything! Otherwise, I think I might just have both of them go at random. I hope I won't drop the ball on this again like I did last year.

Other than that...I don't really have anything at the moment. I have a few little ideas, but I'm having a hard time trying to plan out what would happen and why it would happen and how it would affect my guys and...yeah. I'm not sure yet. If anyone wants to do something with me, I'd be all for it!

Chihiro: Admittedly I've been in a bit in a rut for him, mostly that I want to expand his cross-canon CR since having him more open and sociable are one of my goals for him. For most, he had a lot going on, so there's a growth that I couldn't really entirely explain at the moment. I think I had popped this one up a couple of times, but there's some sides of him that I love to show at least once every while, maybe even have a CR start/grow because of that particular side of him. Like his love for geek culture and video games whenever he has free time to indulge them. So yeah! In -general, I would absolutely love cross-canon CRs for him, old ones expanding or new people for him to meet, I'm not all too picky at what the shenanigans may be!

Brown: Has just been going with the flow, and I'm personally fine with that, since he more or less would just indulge on the simple things in life. Though, really, deep down he does have an adventurous spirit- so dragging him on an adventure or two might be a nice fresh of pace! Anything is pretty good on him too, he's pretty sociable and would love friends or ladies, or lady friends. Ladies who accept his flirting will be rewarded with his awkward dork side coming out though. I would also love shenanigans and pranks, trading ridiculous and/or baseless rumors are also part of his skills. I don't have anything in particular mind with Valentines for him, so if you have any ideas, I'm all ears!

Knuckles: Knuckles is getting married. Go and help him get married. All of the everypeoples are welcome whether you even know the couple or not.

Sonny Moe: Is always in the market for new frands. He is enjoying his job as a part of the Bowser Koopa Empire and he'll play Ukulele for you if you ask. (Not well. But he'll play.)

Jon: Is doing pretty well lately! But he's always around being sour and werewolfey if you need that in your life.

Joel: Super shiny new guy who I'm having a lot of fun playing because he thinks everything here is so strange. Friends, enemies, whatever. Bring them all on, bros.

Player: Liz
Character(s): Little Mac, the cheerful and positive boxer; in charge of Boxing Club and Physics major. Connor, a Native American/British Assassin who looks like a linebacker but is actually a really nice guy if a bit weird; your neighborly janitor and patrols the woods.
Seeking:

Mac is thinking about proposing to his lady, and is currently asking some dudes around. I'm open for more bro times and the such for him always as he's easy going (bros, help a bro out?). Spars and such are welcome too. He could always use more stuff to do.

Connor is busy as always, he is very into what he has going on right now. He's taking care of a baby Rufflet, learned he is living with a super grandson, and he's very into his relationship with Eirik, and has a lot of unresolved feelings about Haytham. Surprise, he's also a Duke, thanks Eirik. I meant it when I say he's weird but he is nice. He could always use new friends and even enemies. ESPECIALLY young folk he would want to look out for or people who get on his uncomfortable side.

Character(s): Cyrus who is essentially a Vulcan with a Messiah complex

Goals & Directions: I want to get him to branch out from his "space cult leader" thing. Also I'd like to do more class logs.

Player: Arc
Character(s): Subject Delta, a Big Daddy in a diving suit who teaches Maritime Engineering
Seeking: Everything ever
Goals & Directions: He still needs to run at least two class logs - one in the autoshop so people can build themselves metal deathtraps to swim around in, and one at the lake so people have the chance to pop leaks and panic. Or, y'know, just build a suit that works and explore underwater. One of those.

I'd like to have him 'adopt' a Little Sister-esque character to protect, but I'm a bit hesitant since I still don't know a lot of the students/teachers. If anyone would be interested in that kind of CR, that would be awesome. Otherwise, cupidbots might result in something like that? Maybe?

Delta's still a new character, and could always use more shenanigans. 'Course, his personality tends to lead to him ignoring everything unless he feels like he needs something from someone, so the more people yelling at his dumb self, the better.

Sissel: Adorable black kitty cat with a dapper red bandana, big yellow eyes... and oh yeah, PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWERS OF THE DEAD (including immortality, telepathy, disembodying his soul, and bringing people back from the dead through time travel.) Otherwise pretty much a normal, ordinary cat- aloof, sarcastic, too curious for his own good, etc.

He doesn't live at the Academy, but he's around often exploring and poking around where he shouldn't be.

Seeking: I'm new as of last month, so I'll take whatever I can get in terms of interactions. Sissel enjoys the things typical cats enjoy, like sitting in the sun or getting ear scratchies. I am especially keen to play with his powers, so if you want your character to get brutally killed and then un-brutally killed, this here's your guy.
