YOU KNOW HOW THIS WORKS. Want to make some CR or Plotting happen? Here's where you plan it out.
► HANDY CHARACTER PLOTTING FORM
► GOALS & DIRECTIONS: Hey, some of us have been here a really long time and might not know what direction to take our characters in anymore, or maybe you've been here only a few days and don't know where to start. There's no better time to start than now, so don't be afraid to express what things you'd like to do with your characters, regardless if it's something that might happen in the near future or a long ways away. Fall in love? Fall out of love? Graduate? Experience what it's like to be the opposite gender? An animal? In the body of someone else? Save the world? Try to destroy it? The more other players are aware of what you want to do, the better your chances are of making your wishes into reality!
► THIRD PARTY SUGGESTIONS: Suggest new CR or character ideas, even if it has nothing to do with your own characters. Just put a "THIRD PARTY SUGGESTION" in the title of your comment when you browse the Character Plotting threads, and who knows? Maybe you just suggested a great interaction or idea no one has ever thought of before. And don't forget to spread the love around with as many people as you can so everyone gets a suggestion or two!

GAME PLOTTING
JULY EVENT: more shadow bugs, shadow clones, character trophies, subspace bleeding and AU bubbles. You can play out one AU, you can play out two, three, however many to your hearts contents. We are highly encouraging characters to spearhead investigations, ask questions, and try to get to the bottom of this other worldly/other dimensional bleed. Adventure is nigh, time to seize it!
Summer vacation style plans don't (necessarily) need to be put on hold because of plot this either--it probably doesn't need to be said but local weather for this month around these parts is hot and balmy--passing afternoon thunderstorms aren't uncommon but they don't tend to last. Sunny days are hot and long. Take advantage of Smash Academy's pool, Kraken Lake, or the local (or maybe not so local) beaches. Summer is here!

The residential empath and telepath. Voile is capable of conducting the emotions of others and can be easily overwhelmed by feelings, but has a difficult time discerning her own from others'.

Goals & Directions:
CAIM
Having just returned from Acheron, Caim hasn't had much on his plate except trying to put together fencing curriculum for the upcoming schoolyear. He's still getting in touch with people he knew before while coming to terms with having a voice and being able to use it.
For those unaware, he was formerly mute for a good eight or nine years.He'll be investigating the bunkers for the month of July during the overarching plot.
EIRIKA
She's currently researching the topic of necrology to help someone from her homeland. She has a great interest in magic generally, but currently has a near obsession with dark magic.
I have no plans for her for the month of July and may have her sent back to Magvel until this event is over if I can't think of anything for her to do.
OLIVIA
Having just come from Plegia in her homeworld, Olivia is new, new, new and still isn't really sure what's going on. (She doesn't even know her son attends the academy.)
She'll be offering some morale support for the bunkers investigation and has the good fortune of rescuing Inigo from the maws of doom.
SORYK
While he has been more social as of recent, he's observing the bunker investigation with a great deal of nosy interest, wondering if he can find a way to use it all to his advantage. Due to the size of this plot, he won't be planning anything yet. He may be willing to lend some assistance to a group investigation, however... You'll find him being more personable than he usually is.
Many months ago (over a year ago, in fact), I proposed a small plot wherein being the instructor of the poisons class, Soryk poisons the food and water supply in the academy and nearby FDC. I still have plans of doing this and would like to. You can read the details on it here. Again, however, this won't be happening until after the current plotline is completed in its entirety.
VOILE
She has plans of putting together a contest celebration at the end of the summer, so likely after the next 'chapter' in this plot is completed. If it's not too close, she'd also like to put together a Host Club event for the autumn season.
She will be AU'd for some indetermined amount of time for July's plot, where rather than being a female. She'll. Be a guy. This is super exciting. She'll still have her old memories and know who people are; she'll just look a little
musculardifferent.ZIIO
An ever consistent sponsor of the forest conservation instated by Vinnie way back when, Ziio's office and classroom remain open for academy guidance and sexual education (but why would you ever go to her for the latter).
She may lend some assistance with the bunker investigation, however, she'll also be played as an AU version. (For those Assassin's Creed III knowledgeable, she'll be played from the Tyranny of King Washington DLC.) For those who aren't knowledgeable, it just means the past for her is a bit different than she currently has and consequently, she won't really be remembering anyone.
But no worries. That's temporary and at some point in July, she'll go back to normal.

Character(s): Kiyotaka Ishimaru, uptight and socially awkward ex-prefect with large eyebrows and bear-related emotional trauma that just won't quit
Seeking: Plot stuff, mostly.
Goals & Directions:
So for the event Kiyotaka will be replaced with an alternate self that is from ten years in a post-apocalyptic future where Subspace completely overwhelmed FDC and the rest of the world. He'll have no idea how but he will be convinced that he has a shot at stopping it all from happening again so he'll be preoccupied with things like being really protective of everyone ever and probably trying to get right in to the investigations and stuff. He may or may not even know useful info! Or else be full of beans, we'll see.
When not trying to get knee deep in plot he will be having extreme difficulty readjusting to a (relatively) safe environment with things like electricity and plumbing and food, and at some point he will have a shadow clone running around being violent and probably killing some expendable au types.
Might possibly try to work in some middle school au shenanigans but we'll see.

Character: Pulseman, that shy and reclusive half-human/half-AI that is always here and never anywhere
Seeking: Mostly more interaction, maybe logs
Goals & Directions: Pulse wants to look into this shadow bug business, how it got started, and how he can possibly bring an end to it, or at least help in the effort. He wouldn't be too useful at fighting the bugs, but if there was a situation that called for live bait, he would be more than handy. (And as long as he was kept focused on the safety of the school, shoot, he might even agree to it.) Right now he's basically torn between wanting to help and wanting to continue to remain uneaten by shadow bugs so that he can still be helpful in the near future.

Hajime Tanaka, the overstressed and overloud cheerleader who wants to help everyone but is mostly just nosy
ATLAS The round little robot who justifies every pointless banal task people have him do by calling it science
Seeking: Making new CR, and more interaction with old CR
Goals & Directions:
Hajime will first be replaced with his alternate self from ten years in the apocalyptic future (the same as Kiyotaka a few posts north). He'll spend a lot of time being enormously protective and kind of mother henning everyone he comes across, when he's not reaching for his sword at every loud noise or marvelling at hot food and clean water. He's got a neat robot arm.
After that, he'll be swapped with another Hajime who uses his soul-manipulation powers for ill, i.e. giving crippling depression to anyone who gets in his way. Mostly he's kicking back, watching the chaos, and being rude, and I'd sure love people to confront him over his assery, so long as you don't mind a little bit of mind games.
Following all that, regular Hajime will return, wracked with confusion and guilt and in bad need of a good hug. He needs friends, normal low-key friends who will tell him to shut up and play some video games instead of yelling about passion.
ATLAS shall spend a little time swapped out to a fully human version, a test subject straight from Aperture's testing facility. He's mostly spending his time being paranoid, twitchy, and fairly convinced he's gone crazy. Past that, no plans!

Goals & Directions: ALRIGHT SO last month kicked my ass and I have been sick for a bit but HOPEFULLY I WILL GET BACK INTO THE SWING OF THINGS THIS MONTH. I'd like to preface this by saying please let me know if you would like backtags or if you would prefer to just handwave old threads with Edel and I also apologize profusely for the fail.
That out of the way, I'm hopefully going to get a backdated post up for Edel tomorrow with a warning to everyone of the upcoming events. Since she'll only have a vague idea of what this disaster thing is, she'll be just as vague in what she says. As for AUs, I don't have any plans for her. She'll be sticking her nose into everything as per usual and trying to get to the bottom of these shenanigans. She's pretty much available to do whatever.

Zero - Stoic warrior robot with a sword and pet Cyber-elf. Mission oriented and unaccustomed to civilian life. On security.
Vinnie - Venusaur trying to find his place, and his strength. Hot-blooded, stubborn, but also protective, compassionate.
Inigo - Womanizing mercenary with a (poorly kept) secret love of dance. Actually terribly shy, but covers up his weaknesses with a smile.
Seeking: Continuation of old CR, new CR, if I can get in on any plots that would be hella rad, cuz I'm mostly playing the event by ear. Work is quite busy but I will try hard to be a coolguy.
Goals & Directions: Two out of three of these characters are coming back via July event shenanigans, so I'd love to get them involved with whatever's going on. So far all I have planned in the way of AUs are MMZX biometal!Zero, Blue team!Vinnie and ?Different father?!Inigos, but I'm open to the idea of swinging in some more. All three of these guys are very dedicated to protecting people, but in their own way. Zero definitely wants to get in the bunker to stop whatever's at the source of the shadowbugs, Vinnie wants to make sure his loved ones are okay while helping whoever he can, and Inigo wants to flirt with pretty girls while rescuing them.

Character(s): Ema Skye (Ace Attorney)
Ema is a perky girl who loves science. It's her life. And specifically, she loves forensics and scientific investigation. Murders are also her life. She likes meeting new people and hanging out with friends, and of course talking shop (even if she gets a lot of things wrong). She also runs the school's SCIENCE CLUB which you want to join because it's the best club.
She was also kidnapped when she was younger and almost framed for murder. Trauma is also her life.
Seeking: More science friends, more robot friends for her growing robot friend collection. She hasn't had any reason to talk about things that have happened to her or her sister yet but that's going to change BECAUSE...
Goals & Directions: JULY SHENANIGANS I'm doing two versions of Ema for the event:
Delinquent Ema: An AU version of Ema where she was convicted of murdering Neil Marshall and has spent the last two years in jail, dealing with the trauma of being a "murderer" and what it's done to her sister by burying her emotions and becoming a chain-smoking hooligan. She doesn't see value in science and hates (and fears) Miles Edgeworth. That's how bad it is.
Older Ema: Ema from Apollo Justice. I just wanted an excuse to play her here without canon updating and this presented the perfect opportunity. Older Ema is a lot less perky, sometimes seems to care more about science than people, and is never found without a bag of snacks in her hand
to use as ammo. She's jaded and depressed because she didn't pass her test and get to be a scientific investigator, but she is a detective. If she randomly starts ranting about fops, just ignore her.I'm super excited for the event and open to anything!

"Little" Mac Aroni - Insanely friendly and high spirited jock who is kind of short, wants to be your and your brothers' and sisters' friend. Because of this, he's a social butterfly and has outstanding people skills. Much more than meets the eye with him since he may give off an air of being dumb and/or clueless. He's just really oblivious, he's actually quite smart really; he might just surprise you with how observant or witty he can really be. Boxing extraordinaire and champ. In charge of Boxing Club and Gordon Freeman's lab assistant. In college for physics. Works insanely hard at anything with a go-getter positive outlook.
Ratonhnhaké:ton "Connor" - A member of the Assassin Order with a heart filled with justice, dedication, conviction, and good will, but stubborn as a mule with a hint of naivete. Looks scary and intimidating but is actually very much a gentle bear bara. Native American with British blood, with English being his second language (he's actually pretty educated and intuitive too). Just get to know him and you can see just how sweet he can be. He is incredibly strong at heart and has been through a whole lot of garbage. Amazing hunter and free runner. He's your custodian cleaning up your stupid crap, but may teach a class when fall comes???? Also, has a friend Rufflet and lives with his super great grandson. Out of touch with the modern world.
Garry - Painter, overall creative sort. He speaks with a feminine air, very gently and calmly; a lot of class. He has an interest in fashion too. He also likes keeping things in order with what's around him. This can make him neurotic at times, and a bit of a nag (maybe even a little impulsive sometimes). He's like a mother or an older sister in that sense, this includes having his heart full of caring and protectiveness that he has no problem expressing to people he loves. He's a very educated and sweet man, often finding comfort in relaxing and being surrounded by simple pleasures. Kind of a chicken, although he will act if his loved ones are in danger. Your Painting instructor.
Seeking: Anything, there's stuff I plan on doing in the future specifically. However, I'm very open for this event and upholding current CR or making brand new ones.
Goals & Directions: That said, with this event I plan on Connor being very active with investigations and helping townsfolk.
Mac will grow concerned and may act too, he's up for grabs in turn of where he's going though. If you want him, he's there.
Garry, since he's returned, is a mix between getting re-settled and learning about this craziness. I think he may be affected by AU week somehow, but I'm still working kinks.

One of the quieter team member among Green's team, Pidge is a rather hard-headed seemingly serious type of Pidgeot. Easily irritable if you push the right buttons, as well as not as composed as you'd think, Pidge has a long way to go to become the "reliable adult" he wishes to be.
Leon Kuwata (
A once-famous baseball ace player, Leon's a borderline delinquent student who tries to slack off in any way. He's starting to miss baseball big time, and will be itching to do some swings soon.
Ecolo (
Newest muse that just got in, Ecolo is a mysterious shadow being that travels between worlds. Holder of a tremendous power and mischieveous mind, Ecolo is a prankster who loves to have fun.
Seeking: Everything and anything! All three would like to keep re-enforcing their CR as meeting new people.
Goals & Directions:
Pidge is a party pooper. But he knows how summer vacation is supposed to be for fun, so he'll do his best to attempt finding something to do, as well as spend quality time with his bros. He also knows he's been too quiet (due to IRL things on my part) and he'll be trying to be more social than before. During the event, he would be fighting things alongside other people with a chance to get some CR going along!
Leon is a little on the back burner with directions for this month, but I'd like to take note that he has probably been itching to play baseball for a while, since baseball season usually starts just before summer. With the event going on, he'll keep the urge down by trying to do something about the shadow bugs, but he'll probably just be fighting things with either a bat or some weapon good for swinging when things get bad. Can't forget talking to girls, either. That's always a thing.
Ecolo would probably be the most active this time around, with so much potential at hand. His basic appearance may be mistaken as a shadow bug, which I WOULD LOVE TO HAPPEN EHEHEH...

Goals & Directions:
Falcon you know what is just going to be a rule 63 AU. Lady Falcon has been at Smash for as long as Dude Falcon. She is not a reboot and has always been a lady. She is going to be very confused as to why everyone is telling her she should be a dude.
HOWEVER it will only be for a short period of time and Falcons of whatever gender are always available for action exploration adventure type stuff if anyone is interested.
Zelda is going to get stuck as Sheik for the duration of the month and is going to pretend she isn't panicking about it.
Wheatley is, as always, being Wheatley.
Aoi is for sure sitting out of the AU stuff, though she will have a thing to deal with and will probably be very upset about the state of some of her friends.
Brock went a little off the rails the last time this happened so he will probably do it again, but maybe with less Flygon punching this time. He is also my newest and could definitely stand to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones!

Seeking: NEW CR especially since Ian is so new, all he really knows is Samus and Falcon by extension
Goals & Directions:
HMMM well for the AU event I am bouncing between "What if Ian lived and became a Galactic Federation Commander" and "What if Ian turned into an adorable Pikachu with goggles" so I am up for plotting anything that involves either of those. Ian running around as a Pikachu, powering things with thundershock, etc would be a very easy way for him to meet new people even if he's a pokemon at the time.
More general, I am up for shenanigans where Ian has to save people locked in closets, come mop up messes students have made, or play amateur rocket scientist since that's kind of what Ian was doing when he was in the Galactic Federation. Really, I am just trying to establish new CR with him before I commit to anything more.

And overall, more than anything else, I want to force him to change. He's so stuck in his ways that keeping him IC has become...tiresome. Change needs to be forced on him because he won't change on his own (I play him DP-verse but this IS the man who, in Pt, would rather stay in a parallel dimension that he despises and could easily leave because leaving would mean admitting that he was wrong)
so yeah, I need to get him off his track.

Character: Hilda, the Pokemon trainer with a head full of rocks and a heart of gold
Seeking: CR new and old, bad and good, etc. Girl lives for making friends and being a friend, so anything like that would be aces.
Goals & Directions:
an au where hilda becomes a dark and gritty lara croft-like in the grimdark subspace future cyberpocalypseI don't think I'm gonna be doing any AUs for her because she's so new. Since shadow bugs are going to be all up ons she'll be doing what she can to help people out around the school and city, and if needed during investigations she'll be eager to pitch in and help beat up bad guys with her Pokemon. Wrassle some shadow bugs, coax kittens out of trees, talk to people and animals alike like they're her besties, that sort of thing.
On the not-plot side of things I'd love to drum up some negative CR for her. Bad influences and/or folks that want to be JUVENILE DELINQUENTS (defacing public property, hanging undies on the flagpole, stealing office supplies, dumb baby stuff that earns you 600 detentions) in need of someone to take the fall for him/her, Hilda can be your girl.
