GAME PLOTTING

Bundle up! The days are getting shorter and colder now. Just recently we have a Halloween Mask Dance going on and has only just begun. We apologize for any intermediate confusion but don't hesitate to tag in and backdate, since we do not have any immediate plans for the beginning of November.

Aside from perhaps the CHARACTER PIN-UP CALENDAR! This is in the works, see this IC post and this OOC thread for details.

I guess ICly photoshoots are going to go down throughout November with some professional photographer / possibly someone from the school with good camerawork. I wasn't planning to log it unless people REALLY want to do some kind of... thing.

Other than that, have fun drawing your characters in this classy and tasteful calendar! That was it, that was the goal.

VIVIAN IS... always looking for more friends. I'm trying to really stretch her CR out a bit before I go into any future plans I have with her in mind. Not much else there. She is learning new feelings of shyness, minor jealousy, and maybe love. She's tiny so nothing romantic yet but they're THINGS and they are HAPPENING TO HER.

Randall is still new and I'm trying to get him to make more friends. He's a dirt lord archaeology nut but also likes to fence (and is pretty good at it!), among other things. He's fairly adventurous so he'd be up for anything!

HEY RANDALL adventurous archaeology buffs are always welcome so far as Knuckles is concerned. They could do an adventure.

I am extremely interested in CR with both Vivian and Randall.

We've begun some CR with Randall and Soryk and I feel like their mutual love for archaeology would be beneficial. I also think that Randall balances out Soryk's 'too serious' mentality with some zaniness.

(I also don't know how to read and missed the part about Randall and fencing, in which case, I imagine he and Caim would have enough in common to open doorways. Caim's always interested in a sparring partner and it'd be nice to have him form some CR that is more than cute and seemingly harmless young ladies.)

Vivian is someone I always have wanted to get CR with, but wasn't entirely too certain of how to. I think we once discussed a possibility of CR between her and Caim, as she would surely be the type of individual he'd form a relationship with (uneasy alliance? familial? something akin to).

Eirika also has prior CR with Vivian, and while I'm happy to pursue that as well, I'd be interested to see if Eirika can weasel her way between Vivian and Eggman's relationship (perhaps with an ulterior motive to irk Eggman—not that she needs a reason to).

Basically, if you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them and am certainly interested in trying what I can to further character development for both of your characters.

Character(s): Kiyotaka, resident uptight shouty awkward supernerd; Hayato, resident charming prettyboy gym coach/cheerleader.
Seeking: Maybe something light and silly. BUT ANYTHING GOES, AS USUAL.

Kiyotaka is doing his usual diligent student schtick, though he has also been occupying himself with practicing COOL SWORDS and bonding with a Magikarp. He'd be very eager to get tips from all the school's swordsmen, even if Zero is his primary teacher. In more immediate events, he's going to be Sable for a day due to bodyswaps, so look out for a panicky hedgehog in Halloween logs.
I also have a wishlist for him since that's the hip new thing.

Hayato is going to be tethered to Zero via magical hair braid shenanigans for like a week, that's going to be absolute suffering. ZERO YOU'RE ALL OVER MY PERSONALS AD WHAT GIVES Other than that, pretty much anything I'd want to say here has already been covered on his wishlist too. Especially wanting emotional attachments...

Sonny helps Kiyotaka tolerate the smell of butter by making him some deep fried butter on a stick. (Yes. This is a real food. It exists in the world.) No, but seriously - If Kiyotaka wanted to talk about Trauma, smash or otherwise related, Sonny is a pretty good listener. Expect a hug, though.

As for Hayatos gone Wild, all my guys have varying degrees of comfort with roughing it in the wilderness. Any of them could take him out to the woods and learn him how to me a Man.

Heeeello. We have talked some about CR possibilities between Caim and Kiyotaka where fencing is involved and I would still very much like to pursue that.

Considering the mention of Kiyotaka bonding with Magikarp, I wonder what would happen if Voile's darker side got the better of her and she thought it would be wise to attempt cooking Kiyotaka's dear little pet...

We've also been working on Hayato and Olivia's relationship and that is something I'd like to continue exploring and see where that goes, especially with how that can affect any potential canonmates for Olivia (i.e., Inigos or Lucinas—fathers pending and circumstantial).

Goals & Directions: I'm a bit limited on what I can shoot for at this point in time, since at college I'm being assigned my final projects already, and I also want to get some arts & crafts completed before the holiday season (IT'S PRACTICALLY HERE). I'll participate in some new logs, but I'll mostly be focusing on finishing some older ones (especially the draw log with all of Pulse's new CR going on). If I see a chance to throw Pulse at some of the characters we've been talking about in older personals (ROB, Megaman, etc.) I'll still jump on it.

Goals & Directions: More friends, more stuff to do in general. Stuff from the last personals still stands if we didn't get to it and we talked about getting to it. Let him play you the song of his people on the Ukulele.

Seeking: There is literally nothing I am not seeking for him.
Goals & Directions: I hear you. I hear you saying it. "But Jim, every time personals come around, you promise us a Martial Arts class. Every time. Yet we haven't had one yet. We want to trust you but you've burned us with that line too many times before. You are a pathological liar-slash-martial arts class avoider." And this is all valid criticism. I WAS THINKING THOUGH that we could have a class centered around training on bamboo poles sticking out of pools of water. This idea is shamelessly stolen from an anime that features a certain cursed training ground that threatens the unskilled with a curse upon losing your footing and falling into the water. As per normal Smash rules, curses would last a week. And more than likely, I'd let people pick their own unfortunate result. Unless people REALLY want me to make a list of possible terrible things you could become.

Anyway! Wanted to gauge interest before putting it up and see if people had ideas for additions, curses etc. (Or objections!) Would probably be best after Halloween events/curses have run their course!

Seeking: New CR, working with old CR, grumping around and fixing things. Whatever!
Goals & Directions: So, recently, Joel got into a fight in the Library. It was pretty great. He's currently working to help repair things that he broke. He's probably also going to be booking some stadium time - he's worried he's losing some of his postapocalyptic skillset.

Character(s): Knuckles the Echidna.
Seeking: Evertystuff!
Goals & Directions: Still finding his footing in this brave new world. Trying to figure out why he was sent here (Spoilers: There's no real reason. But letting him think there is one is fun.) He's probably going to be asking for sparring matches, or at least offering himself for them when he senses an opportunity. So, if faitan with Echidnas is something you always wanted to do but you never had the opportunity... Now You Do.

Basically, I always love whatever it is that we're doing.

Sonny and Voile are an infinite turnabout that have seen so much development and progression as a couple as well as individuals, and it seems like that will just continue to blossom into all kinds of dark flowers. Similarly, watching Jon and Ziio's relationship grow has been an absolute joy. Where those are concerned, I'd like to say that we keep fighting the good fight. (For the former—Sonny and Voile—I imagine things will get more complicated, and look forward to some future tension.)

I don't really have any CR with Joel, but I think Caim has talked with him about his wood shop, not really understanding what the point of such a thing would be. I'd like to hopefully further some of that, because Joel is so very different from him, but they're both something akin to survivors and I feel that Caim could use someone with some similarities to him to proceed as a person.

I also haven't had the opportunity to interact with the new Knuckles, and while that's due to my extended absence, I apologise for that. I'd very much like to pursue Voile reacquainting herself with him, despite that his memories do not contain her or the others from Smash Academy (considering it's an altogether different Knuckles).

Stadium time is a great way to bond but if you're up for it, I think it's about time Joel and Connor got a little more acquainted? Connor respects Joel a lot and has been very curious about him.

I've had a lot of personal stuff happen this month all at once and probably more to come for at least the first half of November so I'm probably going to be a little reserved with what I start and will definitely be dropping some older threads. I'm very sorry. 8(

Samus I'm mostly aiming to wrap up older things with. Two of her boyfriend's enemies are here now and that's where most of her current attention will be directed at. She would also want to keep Ian safe since they pal around now and Ian could also be a potential target. MAMA BEAR'S ON THE CASE.

Also pin-up calendars.

old stuff:

Pyrrhon & Kyle & Samus: Willing to assume Samus eventually popped outta her ship and was like WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU STOP BEING MORONS and either Pyrrohn or Samus eventually got Kyle off the island. I doubt she thinks very highly of Pyrrhon from this point going forward.

Pit & Manus: Willing to assume they beat Shadow!Bambi and together and maybe they discover the Game & Watch trophy, which is the source of shadow bugs. At that point in time I'd say they're still trickling out, but nothing can be done about it. After the subspace bombs were resolved in August and the floating island is stabilized, if Pit ever decides to go back on his own he'll find the Game & Watch trophy is no longer leaking shadow bugs.

Hajime & Samus I'm amendable to still tagging this if you don't mind it being very slow. I think I'm probably worrying about fight scenes being too mechanical or this one being too one-sided. I KNOW SHE'S PLAYING TOUGH LOVE TEACHER HERE but all in all she'd hope to show him that there are a lot of ways to win a fight without actually fighting--improving his agility and endurance a little so to outlast someone in a fight without getting hurt or hurting him. I'd also be okay with hand-waving a sequence of this if you're interested; HAJIME'S A GOOD KID she could probably see that and she'd be more than happy to get on a weekly training schedule with him or something.

Pulse & Samus (and by extension the read of Island Exploration type threads): Ideally they'll all find Professor Hector's lab and recover some notes that help indicate what needs to be done to resolve the subspace bombs. With Pulse in particular I'm okay with assuming they got in a tight spot fight-wise, or maybe they came across a conveniently morph-ball sized tunnel somewhere and he had to camp out in her suit temporarily. SAY HELLO TO CHOZO TECH. Or if that's a lot of information to assume I can roll with they fight side by side like a couple of badasses and maybe found a ruin with hieroglyphs hinting at a battle happening looooong long ago and the school's emblem being related to it or something.

If I forgot something just give a holler.

Blood IS SO EXCITED BLACK SHADOW IS HERE YAAAAAYYYY!!!! He's so excited holy crap. I don't have any specific plans other than maybe getting stuck in an elevator with Falcon and having a heart-to-heart-slash-attempt-to-rip-out-hearts moment. He's here for any of your nefarious bad guy needs if you need someone to come put you in the hospital or be an evil minion he's your guy. I also have Blood's wishlist here. I like to imagine by now he's probably STOLEN some form of casual clothing only because the colder weather would necessitate it so he's not running around in his underpants anymore. ....as much... He could probably still use some help with Mature Adult Activities and Responsibilities like that.

Warren is hanging out at the Haydance Maskdance here and generally being an insufferable asshole. I would love him to be a part of BAD GUY GANG if such one forms with all the bad guy types showing up lately. He is also in the potential for very soft villain reforming or at least DEVELOPMENT which I would love to do, per Warren's wishlist here.

Also Pulse isn't too overly worried about Samus's safety anymore now that he sees what all her suit is capable of and what she can do with it. Good crafts-birdman-ship.

You are, as infinitely it seems, a wonderful person to play off and have been absolutely wonderful to have in terms of character development.

Caim and Samus have this infrequent professional (with excessively rare casual) conduct, which I always enjoy and would be absolutely pleased to further develop. With Caim holding a voice now, he can better express himself to her, and pursue his interest in her as a person and as an ally.

(I still continue to support the concept of Samus providing an excellent example of a person possessing great strength of will to characters like Eirika, who are so accustomed to a preset of obligations. If time permits it, and in general, I'd like to develop something of a mentor/student, quite possibly older sister/younger sister relationship.)

I think you have also stumbled onto a magic phrase and a rather quiet wish of mine, and that is BAD GUY GANGS. While Soryk has a past of acting individually when not on contracts, I think it is wholly possible for him to join a group of antagonists, and I am extremely interested in being a part of this.

In hand with the previous, considering Voile's gradual turn over to the Dark Side, she could easily either work with Warren (willingly and 'in the know'), or with a collective of villains. In short, the concept of just such a group is something I've been longing to see for a while and it has just never come to pass, so I'd like to do what I can to really birth that and make it a reality.

Falcon has some CLONE PROBLEMS and NEMESIS PROBLEMS at the moment and probably has some explaining to do. I kind of want to round up his CR for explanations and stuff if anyone is interested in that sort of thing? Hi friends I am actually a secret space hero bounty hunter???? And a huge deal???????? And also this weird guy with the horns cloned me????????????
Zelda is laying low because she only just recently stopped being stuck as Sheik. HOWEVER she's certainly going to make some trips up to the island as Sheik if anyone wants to get on board that kind of thing. RUINS ADVENTURE.
Wheatley is, as always, being Wheatley. Blood Falcon fucked him up, he needs someone to reattach his robot leg. Which of you will help him do this. He's stuck in Ian's body for Halloweems and he's finally going to realize that his human body has shitty eyesight and he needs to go to the optometrist.

Captain Falcon is always the guy I want CR with and always have a difficult time finding someone to gel with him. HOWEVER. This all changed with the AU Shadow Bug event, for somewhere in the midst of all of that, Caim discovered that the female version of Captain Falcon is an unstoppable machine and more than worthy of his respect. That being said, he is highly interested in finding out if the male counterpart of Falcon is much the same, and if he is, Caim would be equally interested in throwing his weight into an alliance.

And naturally, getting to know the man beneath the helmet, which should prove to be no easy task (and likely rewarding for the effort).

Zelda/Sheik has been a long-standing step of progression for Soryk as an individual and that is something I love and contemplate for good periods of time. I'm always saying I want to see Soryk really grow up, accept and respect his past, but move on from it and little by little Zelda's been helping him do that. Prior to my absence we even had Soryk and Sheik working together, though Soryk's contract to get rid of the ninja never actually worked. (And then Zelda managed to vanish, which Soryk still hasn't addressed and needs to.)

Long story short, it's still something I want to work with. Even though Soryk has plans of doing something awful, by this point, it is entirely plausible for Zelda's influence to stop him. (Or Sheik's, for that matter.) Considering the entrance of the island in the sky now, Soryk would certainly be up for adventuring there just to get the blood flowing—even if he had to with Sheik. (Basically, I like everything that makes him realise Sheik isn't the obstacle that Seth originally convinced him (s)he was.)

While I love Wheatley (and consequently love Voile's current CR with him), I don't have anyone who can help put him together. In spite of that, however, I would still be interested in some general CR with him with Voile, or any of my other characters that could likely annoy him (since that is so easy to do).

Caim (bloodycrow) - A man once bent on revengeance and stirred to voluntary genocide. Despite this, he can be controlled by people he would liken to his family.
Eirika (heartofarapier) - A proper and refined princess with a traditional outlook on politics and leadership. She longs for a life that is more than what she would be given in her homeworld.
Olivia (stopstaring) - A very shy dancer from a more medieval-type homeworld. She's bashful, excessively modest, but genuinely altruistic with an unhealthy helping of self-depreciation.
Soryk (insanecharisma) - An extremely effeminate elf who is a more dangerous threat than he presents himself. Full of ulterior motives, there's a rare softness beneath an exterior of jaded cynicism, sarcasm, and plain downright unpleasant arrogance.
Voile (reservedempath / liberatedempath) - Once a very nurturing and kind Gardevoir, Voile has an empathic ability unlike any other in the academy. Capable of conducting and experiencing the emotions of those around her, Voile is taking a turn down a dark road.
Ziio (nottheproblem) - Stoic and serious, a Native American woman who is vastly behind the times and advances of technology, politics, and the world in general. She is witty, clever, and mother to Connor Kenway.

Seeking: Everything you could likely think of. Victims. I want all of the victims. And I'd be super interested in another draw log, as it seems the previous one went rather well.

Goals & Directions:
CAIM is somewhere between sane and insane, on a sensitive level where something could easily tip him one way or the other. While not outwardly hostile, he seems to be biding his time while feigning a disinterest in wrecking havoc upon the academy. He'll be offering private tutelage for his fencing students and for students who are not part of the class.

EIRIKA is... uh. Expecting, evidently. Which she doesn't really know about, but will probably be learning sometime in November. How she reacts to this is not something I have planned out and will likely be winging. Otherwise, she's on an infinite search for a portal that will take her back to Renais of her own volition.

OLIVIA will be helping Hayato with his calendar idea. Still reasonably new (due to my inopportune hiatus), she hasn't made a real mark or direction and more or less is still trying to fill in the emptiness that Ylisse left when she arrived at the academy involuntarily.

SORYK is putting his Operation: Poison into play at some point during November. Keep an eye on food and water supplies on the academy grounds. Coincidentally, he's been acting a little more personable (though not much) to throw off suspicion that can be directed to him. With Warren having returned, he feels more inspired to better take over the 'throne' that 'Seth Richardson' left behind.

VOILE, as mentioned before, is beginning the route down a dark path. Reaching a point where she's incapable of properly harnessing her ability to conduct emotions, it's getting the better of her and twisting her into a person much the opposite of how she began. She'll be experiencing hallucinations, delirium, sleepless nights, and starting in November, various Pokemon eggs from the local daycare will be disappearing, as will NPC pokemon.

ZIIO is the residential guidance counselor and the instructor of the sexual education class. Her office is always open and she's especially fond of sponsoring the revitalisation of the forest that was previously blown up during the Shadow Bug incident. She'll likely be trying to put together a committee to make that a possibility, though with winter coming, nothing may get done until early spring.

OK so, Black Shadow is going to start having classes soon, which will be highly dangerous and exciting and stuff. He's playing...mostly nice (read: not homicidal) right now kind of specifically to integrate himself in the school and get under Captain's Falcon's skin. He's bad at the first part but the second is kind of a given

SO YOU HAD BEST BELIEVE I WANT ALL THE CR. Eventually I want to push him to a larger plot, gamewide or no but first I want to get him into all sorts of stuff. (and also do something like that when I'm not slammed with projects and stuff) Villains to make friends with and heroes to butt heads with and neutrals to get annoyed with him I WANT IT ALL. I haven't really been able to figure out specifics but that will come with time. BUT YOU CAN HELP!(?)

I would like him to get some new friends! He'd probably be up for organizing some casual sports, soccer, football, etc. He's probably getting a little round around the edges now that he's been out of a strict military regime for a little while.

Pyrokinetic kitty princess, how about meeting up with a twilight princess? Socializing troubles or not, how bad could it be? I gotta introduce this one and get her out into the atmosphere somehow. Making as many friends/allies/potential devices for any future plans would be in the best interest for Midna... other than sharing the joy that the world of twilight has to offer through artistic expression of course. It would be nice to have another fellow fightin' princess from another world among the ranks to associate with~
