► GOALS & DIRECTIONS: Hey, some of us have been here a really long time and might not know what direction to take our characters in anymore, or maybe you've been here only a few days and don't know where to start. There's no better time to start than now, so don't be afraid to express what you'd like to do with your characters, regardless if it's something that might happen in the near future or a long ways away. Fall in love? Fall out of love? Graduate? Experience what it's like to be the opposite gender? An animal? In the body of someone else? Save the world? Try to destroy it? GAME PLOTTING

The weather is still brisk and snow still falls around Smash Academy regularly, but we'll find plenty of ways to keep you warm this winter season. CUPID BOTS return again for Valentine's Day 2015!

Otherwise we modly-types have no events planned for the month of February, though we would like to post a friendly reminder that we have been making some OOC changes/tweaks to our rules, such as requiring activity every month instead of only every quarter of a year in hopes it will boost a little activity, as noted in this post. If you have any questions or concerns with said changes, please don't hesitate to let us know.

OK SO basically I wanted to do a Martial Arts class log which borrowed read: totally ripped off the cursed spring training ground from Ranma 1/2 and bestowed curses on students (Or I guess teachers too?) who fell into the water. Curses are activated by cold water and negated by warm water. Curses would last for a week, as per usual for this place, and would be more video game inspired. (For example, spring of drowned black piglet would probably be spring of drowned spoink or tepig or Uncle Pey'j.) (Probably tepig.) (It's just the cutest one.) (Did anyone else ever notice that tepig kind of looks like P'chan? I've sent out so many tepig named P'Chan over wonder trade.) And would of course be entirely voluntary depending on whether characters in the class opt to train that way or are likely to fall off the bamboo into the water.

I just wanted to check first and see if this was OK being a) It involves curses and b) the main conceit is borrowed from a non-video game medium.

ATTACK ON EGGMAN

It's been about a year since last time Hajime led an uprising. Time for another go! Hajime wants to infiltrate Eggman's facility and free the animals trapped in his robots, because that's super messed up, man. BUT, he cannot do it alone! He needs to find people who hate Eggman's ways and will aid him in this plot.

Who wants in? Who has ideas? LET'S DO IT!!!

Character(s): Kiyotaka, the uptight and socially awkward ex-prefect; Hayato, the charming prettyboy cheerleader/gym coach.
Seeking: Any and allllll. JANUARY WAS A JOKE my whole winter has been a joke I apologize.
Goals & Directions:

Kiyotaka may be nearing endgame, 2.5 years later. I keep thinking about it and I don't forsee him sticking around too long after graduation unless some big huge thing happens for him. But for now he's still got some growing up to do, preparing for the big old outside world, etc. He can't return to Despair Japan so he has no idea what he is going to do. Maybe he deserves a kind of happy end though after canon's treatment BAWHAWWW. RP Wishes are here.

Hayato has no particular direction right now, maybe I should get him more deeply involved in something or another. His RP Wishes are here and should be updated probably, whoops.

» Samus Aran (icequeen_aran): A bounty hunter from space who's been here for a bajillion years. She might want you to believe she's only here to teach Biomechanical Engineering and Armed Weaponry. Kind of cold and distant due to a life-long string of tragic pasts continuing into the present, but protective and nice once she opens up. She can probably drink almost any faculty under the table. ☠ Blood Falcon (bloodvile): Batshit crazy homicidal F-Zero pilot and clone of one (1) Captain Falcon. Black Shadow's lackey. Hater of books and libraries... partly because he's illiterate and technically only six years old. BLOOD WISHLIST.
☥ Warren (nyamask): A yamask who was once upon a time a persian (stay_classy_cat) obsessed with humanization and met his untimely death here at Smash Academy 10/2013ish. He's bitter and passive aggressive as hell, not to mention also batshit and homicidal, but also figuring out what to do with himself now that he's dead and has no such grandeur earthly ties/goals anymore. Ironic, hitting that mid-life crisis point after your life has already passed. WARREN WISHLIST.

♥ Blood I want to focus on this month since he was a weak point activity-wise last month. CUPID BOTS ARE BASICALLY THE PERFECT EXCUSE FOR A TRAIN WRECK... who was a big angry homicidal batshit probably virginal F-Zero pilot crushing on them for a day? Crush trains? Sloppy make outs with a guy who has literal fangs? Look how ro...mantic...

Samus IS GETTING HITCHED and it's a secret, so sorry folks, only Ian and the dog knows. I honestly have no idea what to do with her anymore other than make out with her husbando, catch up with Ian, and make angry faces at Black Shadow/Blood for existing. Sooooo open to anything, really! New CR, reinforcing old CR. Whatever you got. Maybe we can have some fun and do some goofy static voicemail/inbox messages.

Warren there's a lot I COULD be doing with him and a lot of inter-personal developmental springboards I could being jumping from at any point but to be frank I'm just not feeling it right at this moment/might want to take that a little slow until another month. Maybe we can do cute ghost antagonizing things; phasing through walls, stupid pranks, more mask possessions. I would not mind him exploring that new aspect about himself in the interim.

HEY I would be down for more Blood and Sonny things! I see on his Wishlist that you'd like for someone to maybe teach him to read. Well, that just happens to be one of Sonny's many and varied skills. No-one knows how or why a Pokémon would even know this but whatever! And he has patience enough to try if you would like that?

Character(s): Mona - Super bubbly game developer who is friends/works for a smelly jerk and has too many part-time jobs. Often called a scatterbrain, but gets feisty if you don't pay her properly for her services.
Seeking: CR current or new is always welcomed in order for Mona to branch out in terms of contacts. Logs of any sort dealing with learning how to fight, to general fun and shenanigans would be much loved as well.

Goals & Directions: Nothing in particular at the moment is set until she develops more CR with people. There is maybe a foreseeable visit to Diamond City with a few friends? But like I said that is way off in the future. Whatever else you've got feel free to hit me up with suggestions!

I have always.... wanted a girl friend for Chiyo to have actual "girl talk" with. Would Mona be interested in such talks?

Chiyo would probably even text her after Ian bombards her with flowers during the cupidbot event. Something like, "Oh my god, Mona! Someone just gave me flowers! What do I do?"

Character(s): Chiyo (almost_a_mermaid/lovesclearlakes):
A timid Vaporeon that's been in and out of the school for the past two years. She's finally back to stay, and has matured (somewhat) during her time away. Her favorite hangout places are the greenhouse, library, and Kraken Lake. As to what she, herself, is like, she's basically a very sweet individual who scares easily and has nearly an unhealthy love for fairy tales. She'll also make a good housewife as she loves to cook, clean, and knit.

Seeking: EVERYTHING ...please.
Directions: Now that she's back, she's mainly looking to reconnect with her old friends and clear up any misunderstandings or bad juju they may have had. She's reunited with most, so at the moment, she's looking to talk to Mondo since she feels bad for how she never got to properly talk to him after the Pool Party incident years back. Being away gave her time to reflect on what happened and she's come to realize she quite fancies the delinquent. Thus, she also wants to see if she still holds that fancy once she sees him.

However, Mondo's not the only one she fancies, as she's taken a liking to Caim too. Her feelings for Mondo are more sincere than they are for Caim, but as she gets to know the swordsman more, they'll become more true, as opposed to being a simple infatuation of a fangirl. Really, I have no idea who she's going to sincerely fall in love with (it could probably even be someone else other than them. Who knows?), but even if she did, she's not the type to act upon it. Not unless she becomes brave enough to risk confessing.

To make things even more awkward, she'll be involved in the Cupidbot event with Ian and Jolt, so that'll really make things confusing for her.

Goals: She'll be making attempts at studying fencing and martial arts. She's determined this time around to actually make an effort to learn how to fend for herself (as a human. She does fairly okay as a Pokemon but doesn't want to rely on that form all the time).

For Valentine's Day itself, she'll be giving out homemade treats and flowers to her friends. On the network, she'll probably invite people to make treats with her a week beforehand, so if anyone wants to join her, maybe it can be a log? Chiyo's good at cooking and baking, so she can give assistance! Or it can just simply be a thing off the record and can be assumed from her journal post. I am all OK with everything.

Other than that, I don't have any other goals at the moment. So please feel free to suggest something! I am all ears.

Seeking: Any sorts of things. Sonny is a pretty versatile character so logs or commentspam or whatever takes your fancy will work for him.
Goals & Directions: I'd like for him to branch out a little more, I guess. He has his Ukulele and his baking and stuff, but he could always stand to be involved in different things. No real set goals for him at this time, but if you have something you think could be fun, lay it on me.

Character(s): Jon Talbain
Seeking: New CR is always a plus for this guy. He's more of a log kind of guy with the action and the fighting and the doing things with people.
Goals & Directions: Nothing really specific at this time. I wouldn't mind a fight log or something though - he rarely gets to bust out that Kung Fu mastery of his.

Character(s): Joel
Seeking: Oh god where do I even start.
Goals & Directions: Anything. I really haven't done much with him in the last while so I want to remedy that with something. He isn't the easiest guy to shove out there, all things considered. He's made a few friends but actually getting him involved in things can be tricky. If you a have a thing where you can use a surly poop like Joel, I will get him there, though.

Character(s): Knuckles the Echidna
Seeking: I am cool with anything for this guy. He's still finding his feet here so CR, new or old, is always welcome.
Goals & Directions: He wants to learn to fight better and that's probably going to involve getting his little red ass whupped a few times. So. If anyone wants to whup all up ons, there's that.

Would Jon still like to ask Chiyo to be his Pokemon? It doesn't have to be anytime soon. It could be much, much later, but I was just curious. Being Jon's Pokemon would give her a confidence booster and more determination to work harder at becoming stronger.

Goals & Directions: SO I have still been kind of slacking on getting Ian new CR that isn't Samus and Falcon. This month he'll be cupidbotted and pre-occupied with that, which will let me branch out with him a little more but I think he still seriously needs a buddy or partner in crime. Maybe they can plot an elaborate prank on all the faculty.

Character: Sonic the Hedgehog. From Dig Dug, or something like that.
Seeking: He needs new friends and enemies alike. Gimme!
Goals & Directions: He and Blaze have just started going out, so he has plans for Valentine's day to make this the best damn date Blaze has ever been on. Of course it's going to go horribly wrong.

Character: Gordon Freeman from Half-Life. Action Nerd, and former one-man army in his own world's shitty future that he unwittingly played a major part in creating. Sometimes the science hits the fan like that.
Seeking: Re-strengthening old CR and establishing new stuff. He's great in logs and comm posts alike.
Goals & Directions: I'm going to have to shake up Gordon's world a bit, as he's getting complacent. Things are in the works: his old Jalopy is now in the process of being retrofitted with a g-diffuser thanks to Falcon (Hell, would YOU say no if someone offered to make your car fly?) He's also been slated for random cupidbotting on Valentine's day. If anyone wants to do shit with him, go ahead and ask!

Character: Lucca Ashtear from Chrono Trigger, a seventeen-year-old fire-magic-slinging science nerd with a fixation on robots and robotics.
Seeking: She still needs girlfrands in particular, people to drag her ass along while going shopping and stuff. I'll love any other sort of CR for her too.
Goals & Directions: She's probably going to chase around the cupidbots on Valentine's day, dragging Rock along with her. (That's her idea of a date. No, I'm serious.)

Lucca and Chiyo used to be roommates once, though we didn't get to touch upon their CR much. I think the only record we have of them speaking was during animal shenanigans and Lucca turned into a frog of sorts. So... if you'd like, Chiyo could be a girl friend and they could rekindle their friendship. 8D

Character(s):
Vinnie: a Venusaur who left Red's team to try and study Pokemon conservation like a people. Bold natured, protective, a bit rough around the edges, and always working to grow stronger, in body and mind. Trying to balance the different aspects of his personal life, along with his obligations.

Zero: a reploid designed for war, now a security guard. His amnesia, his life of endless fighting and the destructive purpose he was built for have made him utterly stoic, joyless, and kind of socially awkward. Adjusting to peace has been hard - he feels out of place and distant to the people around him.

Seeking: New friends, old friends, I'm up for stuff. Action logs with fighting and explosions, fluffy logs with people doing their best not to be awkward, anything.

Goals & Directions: Vinnie, I am open to going anywhere. He can stand to get back into the swing of things more, do more things with friends. Zero, as ever, needs to make friends and learn to be a normal person - which of course means he's going to try and jump into the fray and do dangerous shit instead.

Pyrrhon, the egotistical loudmouthed God of the Sun, who secretly seeks to make a robot army and rule the world.
Seeking: Both these guys could use some friends, Pyrrhon especially. Assuming anyone can put up with the guy for 5 minutes without hating him; unlikely. I'm up for just about anything, though.
Goals & Directions: It's currently my goal for Pyrrhon to get on the bad side of every robotic being here. He's already got 3 down, one without ever meeting them!

I really would like to play Lucca with Pyrron a bit more. They seem like a great example of two people who rub each other the wrong way, not because they're so different, but because they're so similar. I wanna see where it leads!

Seeking: I haven't done much with him yet! I've been kind of busy since I rejoined the game but I still very much want to do stuff. People to pester or make his life more difficult would be a very good thing. Also I'd love for him to make a friend for once in his godforsaken life. Honestly I want anything, which I know is the blandest shit ever but seriously that's what I want.

Goals & Directions: As of right now, my direction with Byrne is just to get situated and to figure things out with him. His goal is to obtain power somehow, whether that means going back to Hyrule or gaining the omniscient power of the Hands or whatever! But in reality I probably want to play more with his internal conflict. Friends and people and stuff will help with that.

Little Mac is about high time he started acting like he's in his 20's...somewhat at least, he has some loose ends to tie before he moves forward on boob touching, uh wait. Always could use friends for moral support and people to punch with.

Connor is embracing potential fatherhood with the woman he loves, and has been getting over a fair amount of drama that happened in the holidays. He has Specific People (person) to tell things to but my aim is for Connor to:

A: Teach a class
B: Act like an Assassin, doing serious jobs around the school
C: Get more friends/people to protect

Chiyo would like to befriend Mac after Caim told her h's the only other person who know's Caim's a prince. She wouldn't talk about his princely status, since she's not sure if Caim would appreciate that, but she'd like to get to know Mac. She believes he must be someone special if Caim was wiling to share that information with him.

Also, would Connor like to be friends with Chiyo, too? 8D

Character(s): Max (Advance Wars) - Muscular tank man who has difficulty in explaining his feelings and thoughts but his heart is in the right place.
Bowser (Mario) - Giant dragon turtle king who is a douche because he's a spiteful dick on the inside.
Jock the Arcanine (Pokemon) - Friendly bro who is also a dog who just wants to be your best friend and for you to feel his muscles.
Hagakure (Dangan Ronpa) - A total mess of a human being who somehow possesses the ability to see into the future with 30% accuracy; his love of cryptids is only surpassed by his love of chickens which is only surpassed by his love of not having to pay for anything that he's ever bought.

Seeking: All of the things.

Goals & Directions:
MAX is going to be running his POWERLIFTING COMPETITION and ALL ARE WELCOME TO JOIN IN. He also is in the weight room or at his forge or sometimes he teaches a class???
BOWSER is generally a dick. He is going to help out Eggman when the Egg hits the proverbial fan. He also likes to ride on a motorbike that can ride up and down walls and the ceiling and underwater and it's complicated.
JOCK is recovering from the psychic nightmare of knowing that his trainer Blue actually loves Green with her emotions and what does this mean for him but other than that he wants to be your best friend in the world and loves tummy rubs and kisses and playing ball.
HAGAKURE is taking care of a bunch of chickens whom he has named after famous lake monsters because that seemed like a good idea at the time (??) and generally hanging around, not doing well at much of anything outside of sort of being okay at Autoshop (it's a surprise to us all).

Character(s): Black Shadow - The platonic ideal of a comic book villain.
Seeking: A way to make up for January, but I'd more specifically I'd love to have him start making connections with faculty members and ESPECIALLY villains.
Goals & Directions: I'll admit that I'm a bit directionless with Black Shadow. I'd like to have him run a "take over the school" type plot but that's a ways down the road, as far as I see it right now.

Apparently he's really good at forming mentor-type relationships with the more gullible students, so more of that would be nice too.
