GAME PLOTTING

It's March already! Can you believe it? Near the tail end of February we had a very eggciting Eggman infiltration event, but don't think you've missed out! The log is still hopping along so don't hesitate to join in if it sounds like a fun time.

For future plans, mods again do not have any set events or plots proposed for March, however, there has been increasing discussion of what direction to take Smash Academy as a whole in and sometime this month we would like to present some ideas. Stay tuned for a post in the ooc community!

SHENANIGANS?

SO A THING I would like to start doing again is what I call SHENANIGANS with Skull Kid. Basically he has all the magic power he had when he wore Majora's Mask and he uses it to prank people by turning them into things. Deku/Goron/Zora, a random animal, something specific from a character's world, aged up or down, body-swapping, the possibilities are endless and it'll wear off after like a week or so.

Seeking: More CR, more action, maybe more draw logs? He's also available for all your IT/anti-virus/tablet-recharging needs.
Goals & Directions: He still hasn't caught that Porygon yet. Maybe he's already spotted it months back and has been chasing it all over the system since then, and is reluctant to talk about it. As for Eggman, Pulse will at least be glad that he's not in any place to bother anyone for a while, and might start looking into some of the other shady characters at this school in the meantime. Maybe he'll consider talking to the security team about being an information assurance specialist or something.

Character(s): Mona - Super bubbly game developer who is friends/works for a smelly jerk and has too many part-time jobs. Often called a scatterbrain, but gets feisty if you don't pay her properly for her services.
Seeking: New CR and expanding on current CR. Logs and everything else in between, bring it on. I have a wishlist for Mona if those tickle your fancy.

Goals & Directions: Other than her first ever Cupidbot encounter and current 'girl talk' with Chiyo, Mona needs to get active before she starts going stir crazy. This month I want to try and get her involved with activities in and around the academy. Training, study sessions, looking for a job, partying, you name it. Anything to get her out and face some action. A few people to get on her nerves (or she get on their nerves) would be nice to have too.

Man okay fun story: I played Wario here twice (once in 2009, again in 2011-2012) and I keep wanting to bring him back. Seeing your Mona is reviving those desires.

But for now since I just have Byrne, I'd love for them to interact too. Your wishlist mentions fighting and training, and I could potentially have Byrne reluctantly train her, or at least spar with her and mock her for being so inferior (according to him, humans are inferior, I'm sorry :c ). If she's a student, she could potentially be in his locomotive class and they could butt heads over her being so late and driving motorcycles when wow, trains are so clearly superior geez!!!

Super bubbly? Game developer? Clearly Mona hasn't met the nerdiest tech/mechanics kid in school yet (who isn't really a kid anymore). This needs to change, y/n?

Byrne baby Byrne

Character(s): Byrne - an antisocial, power-hungry, holier-than-thou guy who likes fighting and stuff.

Seeking: Anything, of course!!!! But if you want specifics, I do always need new CR since Byrne still doesn't have too much.

He teaches Locomotive Engineering, so if you have a knack for it, he might respect you a little bit. Maybe.

You can meet him while he trains - i.e. weightlifting or practicing fighting or something.

Or if you have a super-de-duper scheme where you want to overthrow the school and you need a henchman to help you pull it off, Byrne is your guy. Except he'll try to take all the credit for himself in the end.

Seriously I would love CR of any kind, new and old. Any suggestions are awesome by me.

Goals & Directions: When I played Byrne here last (gosh I played him here from 2011 to 2013 I think), his canonpoint was much later, so he was a bit more developed and less evil and more guilt-ridden and such. But since I gave him an earlier canonpoint here, before he realizes that being evil isn't cool, I would love to play more upon his evil side and make him like get into fights and such.

I'd love for him to attempt a thing where he tries to take over the school, or he tries to do something crazy (i.e. necromancy) to gain superpowers.

Of course I do want to bring his good side out too, and I want to eventually move him in a more redemptive direction, but for now I would love to play up his bad side.

Seeking: Gonna go backtag wild after work all week, and then... Anything, really. DRAW LOGS?! I would like to put one up this month, potentially. Toss some prompts my way and I'll hook Smash up.
Goals & Directions:

Kiyotaka is currently dealing with EGGMAN AFTERMATH, with things like having his boyfriend be turned into a robot it keeps happening and all that fun stuff. He also received a shady letter recently from some folks calling themselves the FUTURE FOUNDATION and would definitely be looking for info on that. On top of all that he is still concerned with STUDIES because graduation is really soon, and even if he knows this whole school is a farce he wants to at least create the illusion of having earned it.

Also, SPARRING PARTNERS? Maybe? Swords are neat.

Hayato still has no real solid plans. Someone get him solid plans. He needs some GOOD FRIENDS, he needs a RIVALRY, he needs to CHEER FOR PEOPLE IN NEED... Actually once Kai makes his appearance Hayato is definitely going to feel more pressured to be Top Cheerleader anyway. He's not petty (he is totally petty). Let him take on some sort of APPRENTICE.

I would also like to get another GYM LOG up... I like the idea of dodgeball but am not sure how well that might translate into log form. Unless that's the drawlog?! I dunno. Ideally I want to put up some kind of class that forces random pairs for CR shenanigans, so if you have any suggestions I am all ears.

I read 'Top Cheerleader' and immediately had an image of an America's Top Model scenario where the school's cheerleaders vie it out to be THE top cheerleader through related cheer challenges. Every week a cheerleader gets cut off the 'team' until one is left standing.

Goals & Directions:

Hajime is a robot right now. Thanks Eggman. He can no longer see souls of people or animals, but he can see robot souls! It's sort of a hard thing for him to deal with, kind of defies everything he's ever stood for or believed in. On top of becoming a freak and a mockery of the Ouendan, his actions led to people getting seriously hurt.

He's basically broken, at this point, and tries to avoid being seen. He's stopped going to class in favor of sitting in closets feeling sorry for himself. Spends an awful lot of time moping and pitying himself and hating himself for a guy who saved a bunch of fuzzy animals from slavery.

WHAT HE NEEDS is robots to show him that being a robot isn't terrible, and not-robots to show him no one cares that you're a robot you're still the same guy, and anyone at all to smack him around and get him to stop being a whiny baby.

BOWSER - Recovering from getting beaten up (eventually) in the Eggman log. Being a bother. Purposefully being vindictive.

JOCK - Being best friends with you. Meeting his new roommate WHO IS ON FIRE THIS IS SO COOL. Protecting Blue. Getting better at weight lifting because THE VENUSAUR BEAT HIM HANDILY.

HAGAKURE - Figuring out how to handle his new robotic roommate. Trying to figure out how fighting works. Being psychic. Not paying for things. Taking care of his chickens.

KAI - Supporting Hajime. Starting his Japanese Cultural Exchange class. Being a bara dad. Meeting new people.

Bara Dad-In-Law... I am excited to see where that epic finale thread goes because I think Kitty will probably have very many questions for Kai about THINGS.

Hayato will also have questions like "why do you people keep COMING HERE" but not about that. Although he is definitely concerned about Hajime. Your brat can't cheer with a heart full of hate you should probably slap him, etc.

GARRETT: I kinda want to make him a teacher because he clearly doesn't hate his life enough. Maybe archery?
MELIA: I had the idea to have her discover the Chao garden so she can squee forever. Since the Egg Carrier crashed into the lake maybe she could arrange a Chao rescue service.

As for Flint, we could do a thing with him and Joel, maybe? Badass scruffy old guys doing stuff is always great fun.

Goals & Directions: Since he's still settling into the school again, I really just want him to go with the flow, with whatever happens. You can never have too many friends, I say (and so does he!)

Chiyo - A very sweet and quiet vaporeon who's always shy and kind of socially awkward. She's friendly though, so go be her friend. Or try and manipulate her. Whatevs.
Seeking: Everything. Like, seriously. E v e r y t h i n g.
Goals & Directions: At the moment, she's working out her feelings and having girl talk with Mona. I don't have any goals in mind at the moment and am very much open to suggestions and ideas. I'd love to explore everything with her, good and bad. If anything, the only thing that might happen is her talking to other people about her feelings once she's more clear about it.

Other than that.... MERMAID SHOW. Chiyo will be working at the FDC aquarium as an underwater performer. I'll probably do some draw log or normal thread and people can either respond by writing or with drawings or both. Just something refreshing and different. Come watch, support, and take pictures. Embarrass her and all that jazz.

No but seriously - we could have them do some training together? With Riwane, he and she were up early every morning to train before class, usually in the woods. But I don't know if Chiyo would much care for that? He'd want to train her in a way where she was comfortable, so, we could figure something out that she'd enjoy. XD

Goals & Directions: I feel like Pyrrhon needs to do some more... villainous stuff. Not quite sure what... Taking some steps toward making a robot army, some kinda confrontation with others. Hm.

Not entirely sure about any long-term goals with Fefnir yet really, but I'm looking forward to doing things with him... for now I'm thinking adjusting to not living in basically a police state, and not knowing that being a security officer doesn't mean constantly watching people and going through their stuff without permission. That kinda thing.

No real plans for Yarne at the moment, except that something REALLY needs to come of him having to share a room with Blood now. That is just awful luck on his part.

Goals & Directions:

Hey, folks! I'm going to be dropping Vivian in about a month or so to focus on school, but she will be back this summer.... as a teenager. I AM VERY EXCITED FOR THIS, considering the terms she is leaving under as a kid.

Eggman's coma has Vivian severely bitter toward everyone involved, but in general, she is beginning to see the dark side of humanity for what it really is. It took something precious from her and although she would like to continue to be optimistic and eager to experience her humanity, she's grieving too much to let anything except negativity take over.

I'm already doing a lot of this in some logs, but if anyone would like to do more, let me know!! I'd be totally down for it.

Little Mac: An optimistic achiever that can probably punch you into next Tuesday (or punch you...out??? ahahahahaha). But he won't really unless you really cross him. Probably the nicest guy ever, maybe even stupidly nice and trusting).
Seeking:

Connor recently went to the Egg Carrier and worked on disassembling Eggman's plans. While they did stop his evil plans, it did come with a cost and he is dealing with the consequences. He would most likely be trying to help out those affected badly. Also yeah, you could also say he didn't mean for Eggman to nearly die. Not that he had any respect but, you know.

Mac is having an ongoing trend of trying to woo Daisy and mature some. So most on that front is TBD. But he may have some opinions about what he heard of the Egg Carrier.

All ideas are open, of course!

Character: Gordon Freeman, action physicist and crowbar-wielding one-man army.
Seeking: I'd been talking about shaking him up for a while. He's gotten complacent, which is not hard to do when you're a long-serving prof in a university, far away from the horrors of inter-dimensional war. He needs to meet new people and get more involved with those he knows.
Goals & Directions: I need him to regain a level in badass that he somehow lost along the way. Both opportunities to fight, and reasons for him to champion a cause would be great.

Character: Lucca Ashtear, fire mage and teen girl gadgeteer with a fixation on robots and robotics.
Seeking: Anything! Friends, enemies, bland acquaintances, people she mistakes for someone else, and calls by the wrong name and feels really uncomfortable about it for several minutes later! I want it all!
Goals & Directions: More dorm scenes and class scenes! She needs stronger connections to the people she knows. And yes, that even includes Pyrrhon.

Character: Sonic the Hedgehog, the freedom-loving high-speed blue critter himself.
Seeking: He needs to make friends with EVERYONE! And you know he will. The furball's too charismatic for his own good.
Goals & Directions: The aftermath of the Eggman attack log is still making him reel. Like Tails, he's conflicted, feeling sorry for Eggman yet justified in what they all did, and a little shocked at the vicious nature of his fellow Smashers for letting things go so far. Because of the nature of the rescue operation, no one person is really responsible for Eggmans' hospitalization, but he knows who Eggman is going to blame. Here's a clue. IT'S HIM.

Goals & Directions: So, as one of Bowser's minions, he was on the Egg Carrier, and not on the side of Team Animal Freedom. Of course, his view of this situation might be slightly skewed considering he actually thinks Bowser's a good guy. Still up for awkward conversations about his role in this, though!

Character(s): Jon Talbain
Seeking: Not at all fussy.
Goals & Directions: Jon has a new Pokémon in Chiyo! So, he's being a doting trainer, still teaching Martial Arts, probably recovering from chocolate poisoning after Valentines day. I've nothing in mind for him right now beyond that but am always open to ideas.

Seeking: New CR is always lovely.
Goals & Directions: He was on Team Sneaky Guys during the Egg Carrier thing and spent valentines day making sweet bara moony eyes complete with awkward touching at/with a dogman. His life has been eventful lately! Can always handle a little more eventful, though.

Character(s): Knuckles.
Seeking: All of it.
Goals & Directions: So, he's less affected by Eggman's current state than some of the rest of the Sonic crew. He may or may not have his views on this changed - depending on how conversations with other folks go. Other than that he's going to be Super Helpful when it comes to contest/host club stuff!

Goals & Directions: ok let's lay this out. clear is here for a specific purpose of attempting to live a human life, as normal as can be, despite his own secret life as an android with Many Life Problems. he's entirely unfamiliar with the verse of smash and will need to get acquainted! help him figure out what's what? help him learn the ins and outs of smashing? the purpose of smashing beyond just kicking ass and taking names? help him learn things?! maybe even try to investigate him and see what the hell is up with this weird bag of bolts! he's so weird! really!! it's wacky!!!*
