It's been a long time coming. Been here since sumabura gakuen Smash Academy opened its doors in late April 2008 and modding nearly just as long. Been through a lot of good, bad, and strange times in this game. Over seven years! That's such a long time, way longer than I ever expected. I always imagined that if/when this day would come I'd have way more to say but, like Mako, I guess it boils down to a simple: thanks for all the years and good memories, Smash. Treat your new mods right, you're in good hands.

As for IC departures, Warren found some spiritual resonance on the ruins of the Floating Island. Blood got hit by a car in FDC. It was probably a blue car with no wheels. Blood was also probably drunk and in his underpants at the time. Maybe driving the Hellhawk with his butt. We'll never know. Samus would at least give the courtesy of "goodbyes" given the opportunity to, and before she has one last dance before eloping into space, but they'll be very indirect/subtle and Samus-like. She won't verbally tell anyone she (or Falcon by proxy) is leaving. After graduation if anyone checks her office or the firehouse (if they ever knew that address) they'll find it cleared out and empty. She's gone. Falcon too. And Megaweapon.

Gordon Freeman: will find in his office a box filled with any leftover biomech projects. There's some weird advanced (half-broken) alien tech in there. Nothing extravagant but mostly Elysian if he really does his homework. Attached a handwritten note, "Take good care of it. -Samus"

Pit: A handwritten note that is meaningful but also short and Samus-levels of cryptic. I'm blanking hard on the details of this otherwise I'm sorry. 8'I

Zero: will also find in his office a box with a zero suit of leftover biomech projects, though they seem to be more intact and working weapons than works-in-progress used for class examples. They're nonlethal--a couple of stun guns or batons and things of that sort that work in the same vein as her Paralyzer gun. Attached a handwritten note, "If things had gone differently, I may have elected security instead. Old habits die hard. -Samus"

Hajime Tanaka: will find in a small box outside his dorm door some sports tape--the kind you put around your wrists and shit for training. Attached a handwritten note, "It's not much but know that you've come far. -Samus"

Char: Also a handwritten note that is meaningful but also short and Samus-levels of cryptic. Probably made throwbacks to this. I'm also willing to retcon that lake thread to him either knowing the Terrible Secret of Justin Bailey or Never Finding Out because the latter would probably be pretty Samus of Samus. Even if I would have liked to play it out I don't want to force it for that reason. Drama is also fun. Super flexible either way.

Little Mac: a box of condoms also a handwritten note, short and sweet and cryptic.

Bowser: will find his office door impaled with a baker's dozen of Faberge eggs. It's like she stuck them in a gun and fired them at his door. And in the office. They probably broke a lot of things. Enjoy.

Joel: will find in his office a bottle of bourbon. The label is in a language that looks positively alien. Attached a handwritten note, "It's from space. It's drinkable. Enjoy. -Samus."

So long and keep on rocking, Smash Academy. Maybe our paths will cross again one day.

Sonny will be legitimately upset that Blood got hit by a car. Watch him be the only person at Blood's funeral who's actually sad to be there. Watch Joel be the only other person there, period, and celebrating his good fortune by drinking space hooch right out of the space bottle.
