DRUG PLOT ROUND-UP POST (THE FIRST)

Things have been shaking and rolling and that's really excellent, so let's summarize what's happened so far, and plan for the future.



· I'M NEW WHAT'S GOING ON...?
GO READ THIS POST! Then come back here and continue reading this post. In short, since June or so there's been drugs being distributed around campus disguised as innocuous lollipops. Some characters in the school have figured out by now they're drugs, most haven't. Some are addicted and some have fought through their withdrawals and addiction. Several characters should know by now who's selling them, though it's been kept very hush-hush and under the table. The pops are very addicting, after all, and who wants to risk the supply to run out?

And yes, the pops are still around and you are more than welcome to use them as outlined in the previous plotting post.

· I'M NOT NEW, WHAT'S GOING ON?
JUNE 2012, Seth Richardson--a fine upstanding asshole senior student who runs Host Club--picks out/blackmails a few naive, innocent looking ladies to do his dirty work and distribute expensive "herbal" lollipops. That being: Mary, Nephenee, Riwane, and Ai, and they are largely unaware they're actually selling drugs. Seth either brings them unmarked boxes in the middle of the night when they run out, or they stop by his place to pick them up (and give him his share of the profit earned). Over the course of the summer the lollipops have become increasingly popular and resulted in shenanigans ranging from characters tripping balls to characters tripping balls and causing school-wide floods, pink hair, trashed rooms and offices, and school-wide dreams/nightmares. The girls are rolling in wads of cash by now, and Seth even more so.

And so far... no one's taken any direct action (yet) to stop it. If Seth has his way, things will only get worse.

· *WHAT'S WITH THAT ASTERISK? DON'T HOLD OUT ON ME HERE.
This is a little subplot that really only regards Samus, Phoenix, Char, and Rhys in the Love Hotel, so if you don't play any of those dudes don't worry about it. The subplot is vaguely related and it DOES involve drugs, but not of the lollipop kind. It's not directly consequential of this plot (meaning, regardless if the subplot finishes or fizzles out, Seth's still going to do his thing) but it is related and can add another facet to the grand scheme of things, so I'll leave it at that for now. Involved parties, YES I am very interested in continuing it if you are! If not and you guys are burnt out, that's a-okay, I can give the deets/spoilers and we can carry on that way too.

· SO WHAT'S HAPPENING NEXT?
Seth's been getting a little more cautious now that the little stunts he's been pulling have been getting some attention. Still! It's not enough it's never enough. He's single-handily expanded his drug empire across Final Destination City and has been digging his claws deep into its susceptible under belly. If any of your characters frequent FDC, they'll be seeing more and more NPC types with white sticks hanging out of their mouths. More people will be asking where to get their fix (specifically, pops branded with a "PP" stamp) and more will be desperately inclined to take if they can't have it.

Reports of vandalism and theft will slowly go on the rise and if you wander onto FDC's streets and you look like you have money or pops, you could very well risk getting mugged for it. Even in broad day light. If this prolongs into the holiday season, expect it to get exponentially worse.

Closer to home on campus, Seth has left the selling of pops primarily in the care of his drug lolis. He'll still do business himself, but he's honestly got bigger fish to fry, now. He is, however, going to contaminate local grocery stores, so if your character is expecting to buy Halloween Candy this year or go trick-or-treating, there's a high chance you'll see more of those "PP" tricks in your treats.
