NEW! GOALS & DIRECTIONS. Hey, some of us have been here a really long time and might not know what direction to take our characters in anymore, or maybe you've been here only a few days and don't know where to start. There's no better time to start than now, so don't be afraid to express what things you'd like to do with your characters, regardless if it's something that might happen in the near future or a long ways away. Fall in love? Fall out of love? Graduate? Experience what it's like to be the opposite gender? An animal? In the body of someone else? Save the world? Try to destroy it? The more other players are aware of what you want to do, the better your chances are of making your wishes into reality!

THIRD PARTY SUGGESTIONS. Suggest new CR or character ideas, even if it has nothing to do with your own characters. Just put a "THIRD PARTY SUGGESTION" in the title of your comment when you browse the Character Plotting threads, and who knows? Maybe you just suggested a great interaction or idea no one has ever thought of before. And don't forget to spread the love around with as many people as you can so everyone gets a suggestion or two!

A few ground rules:

You don't HAVE to accept every offer that comes your way. Accept offers you are interested in, and politely say no to ideas you do not like.
An offer does NOT guarantee a log or plot development between your characters. Please remember that.
The final decision about which offers to accept or reject goes to the original poster of the request.

WOW that sounds really wonderful, actually, re: spying on daddy! I'm sure Raiden, would ~~EVEN THOUGH BOXES ARE TOTALLY WEIRD~~ would be willing to help Snake out with that.

Speaking of Raiden ha ha actually him and Caim would have a lot of contact lately. I imagine Raiden was extremely afraid of the resident MURDERER cleaning toilets with him and what not, but has since grown to begrudgingly appreciate his help, and might tolerate ~~someone who listens to him whine all day~~ him really well. I would not mind exploring their relationship as they currently have circumstances that easily bring them together, which I unfortunately can't say the same for Samus and Caim. At the moment.

I THINK WE CAN MAKE THAT HAPPEN THOUGH, maybe not in the immediate future but near future... give me a tick...

So what if Warren gets Ai involved in those nasty drugs, (which I think Katie and I were planning on for a while but didn't have anything concrete), which would certainly grab the attention of Mr. Caim. But who's going to listen a murderer, right? Enter Phoenix and Samus and maybe Naoto and whoever else might get involved going on detective adventures to get to the bottom of the drug scandal.

Which could lead to Samus and Caim working together (begrudgingly) in some kind of situation and I might be able to connect it to voice-recovery if I have a better understanding of the nature of his... disability. It's a pact so it's pretty much magical in nature, and all his vocal-chords and stuff are still there, right?

Snake will most certainly hook Raiden into giving him a hand. "He's up to something. We're going to find out what it is. Get in this box and get to it. I'll give you directions via this codec." Oh, Snake. You're so professional.

YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT RAIDEN AND CAIM. I had somehow forgotten that Caim was off busy doing toilet work. Or not forgotten, but rather remotely handwaved in my hand. You make a good point, however. Raiden and Caim would likely be remotely tolerant of one another. More Raiden tolerating Caim, honestly, since Caim doesn't exactly care who does or does not like him (within reason). So I'm sure Caim being the good listener he is probably has managed to get on Raiden's remote good side. I would definitely like to do more with these two.

I do recall you talking with Kate about Ai and Warren and the drugs thing, which of course will immediately have Caim's focus. Notably Caim has a shitton of enemies (hooray bad CR), but he does have a few allies who are not from his home world that would be willing to at least listen to him and understand him to some degree. I think Phoenix, Samus, Mac, and Naoto (maybe some others not from DoD land) would be willing to lend a hand (probably with the coercion.

With regards to Caim's mute status, it's just a magical bond. It was the price he paid for that pact with the dragon, which you know about. He still has all of his vocal chords and what not. He's not missing anything, he just can't use any of it until either Angelus dies or he dies, which would break the pact and consequently cause both of them to eventually die. But again, it's magic. In some cases, science or technological advancements can certainly take precedence over magic. (Hugest controversy ever, apparently.)

I don't think it's impossible! And I think the scene you've laid out is totally plausible!
