Enjoying the weather, Smash Academy? It's the middle of the summer and it's hot hot hot out. If you're wise, you'll take sanctuary in the pool or the (slowly shrinking) lake, or maybe bother your friends and peers, but keep an eye on the weather--things are going to get wet and wild in the coming weeks.

BREAK IT DOWN FOR ME, WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN?
Smash Academy is in the midst of summer and it's dreadfully dry and hot. Seth has been propagating more of his lollipop drugs, and he's about to hit a key customer: Kyogre. For those of you not Poke-savvy, this is a creature capable of creating torrential rains, which are bound to be a little too torrential while under the influence of those dastardly pops.

SO THIS PLACE IS GOING TO FLOOD?
That's right, and that'll be enough of a problem to contend with, but once the waters recede the damage to the school will be very evident. Smash Academy will be in dire disrepair and not in any suitable living condition. The lake will be swollen, desks will be embedded in the walls, cars will end up on rooftops, none of the electric systems will work and water damage will of course be everywhere. Fret not, for repairs will be done (GLaDOS has already offered to take care of that out of the goodness and kindness of her heart. Isn't that great?) but it can't happen until all of Smash's residents move out. Just temporarily. Just for a week.

WHERE ARE WE GOING AND WHEN ARE WE GOING?
A hotel in FDC will suffice! The city will escape the rains and flood waters just fine. Coincidentally, that week, the week of July 22nd - July 28th, just happens to be the week of Metacon, the biggest, nerdiest most meta convention in FDC. Almost all the hotels have been booked for months! Don't worry though, the Headmasters wouldn't leave you guys hanging--they'll manage to get their Hands ha ha on one big enough to house all of Smash Academy's residents.

But uh... it's a special hotel...

LOVE HOTEL

Yes, we're going to a Love Hotel.

• Pick a room or let the friendly folks at the front desk pick one for you. There's plenty to choose from.
  
• You'll be paired up with someone to conserve space. You might even be paired up with two or three other people! You can pre-plan amongst yourselves or sign up for randomly generated roomies.
  
• Each room comes with comes with the option of having aphrodisiacs in the airvents.
  
• As further incentive for shenanigans, each room will have a randomly-colored lollipop left on all the pillows, and there will be a small bowl full of them (FOR FREE) at the front desk. Some are drugged and some are not. You can thank the mysterious lollipop fairy for that.
  
• It should go without saying but the very nature of this hotel has the potential to go into NSFW territory. That said, you are not required to have your dudes boink in this. You are not required to stay in a room filled with shlongs and dongs. They can be in a very normal looking room and have cute and adorable pillow fights, troll room service (the school is paying for everything, after all) and so forth. You are not required to participate if any of this makes you feel uncomfortable, and there are opt-out options below.

• Check-in is July 22nd and check-out is July 28th. There will be double-decker buses providing transportation to and from the school.

• SO MAYBE you're looking to do a bit more that week than stay in the funny rooms of a Love Hotel, or shlongs and dongs is not your idea of a fun time. Welcome to Metacon. Just one block away from the Love Hotel in the Final Destination City Convention Center is the biggest, nerdiest, most meta convention ever. Here, your character might not register any blips on any geek radars, or they might be treated as divine celebrities.
  
• This log will work very akin to the Bunny Mall log and the 4th Wall event: use of external accounts and external players will be VERY ENCOURAGED.
  
• There will be plenty to do:
  
  • COSPLAY and COSTUME CONTESTS: Like, wow! That is a great Captain Falcon costume! But mine's better. Or... wait, is that Captain Gordon instead?
    
  • TRIVIA and PRIZES: What's the Konami Code? How many Pikmin can you fit in an onion? What's the highest level you can get in World of Warlords? Mineshaft? Harvest Goon? Answer them correctly (or argue against those know-it-all nerds) and you may win some fabulous prizes.
    
  • PANELS: Here's were those NPC and external accounts will be very welcome. Now hosted by Sakurai.
    
  • DEALER'S ROOM: Not limited to just video games! Take home that life-size face-hugger prop, or pick up an authentic Nazgul sword. Everything sure is expensive, though...

• The Metacon log will be posted MID-WEEK, that is July 25th, to give a little breathing room between logs. ICly it will take place July 26th-28th.

That's no problem. Opt-outs can be anything you want. You can say your dude got lucky with a normal hotel in FDC, they're bumming at a friend's place, or they took a trip back to their home world for a bit--whatever excuse you want to make. The only liable condition in this is that your character can't be at the school until repairs are done. They can be ANYWHERE ELSE, just not the school, until July 28th.

No concrete plans as of right now, which might depend entirely on the status of the firehouse--if her home is going to flood as well or if she would have any other reason for going to the Love Hotel. I have admittedly been toying with the idea of her finding some connection to ye olde buddy cop love hotel adventures, like maybe the owner of that hotel owns this one too and there's unfinished business or SOMETHING...

I know I'm going to keep her off the pops but having her try to have some kind of serious bounty hunter investigation while loaded with aphro would probably result in a lot of hilarity.

I am still very undecided and he in all likelihood would probably just preemptively leave cackling madly the moment it starts raining because he knows it's going to get bad. On the other hand, he might decide to stick it out with everyone else to look less suspicious. Maybe he's in CAHOOTS WITH THE LOVE HOTEL OWNER, knowing something like this was going to happen and just wants to line his pockets even more I DON'T KNOW. Too many ideas. Might just sit him out mysteriously and handwave all over the place unless someone wants him in particular or random sign ups are short a guy or something.

BLACKY has some rooming arrangements in the works, but that doesn't mean she isn't available for bothering other people anyway. Those red pops are slowly taking their effect on her, so she's going to be aggressive and dominant in sexual or non-sexual situations. Not necessarily mean, but that's not out of the question either.

She's up for awkward run-ins, hanging out, nsfw scenarios, confrontations, ghost pranking, whatever!

CASEY doesn't really care too much about sex or anything but might be curious enough to try it, especially since everyone's minds are bound to be in the gutter and she's definitely going to pick up on some of those thoughts. Very low on her priority list though (especially since eww human forms are dumb), and she's more likely to just teleport all over the place and invade everyone's privacy.

Teleporting at inopportune times? Trolling other people? Making friends... sorta? She is here for you.

MARY is 9 go away. She is available for any kind of non-sexual fun though. Drawing on the walls, pillow fights, kid parties, hoarding ALL THE CANDY, you got it.

By this point, Kitty is a junkie for Green Pops and has been trying to sleep as much as possible and yet so many of them and the constant sleep has caused her to not sleep as often which has made her more depressed, but also extremely clingy and willing to please in whatever way possible as long as you spend time with her. She's up for anything and everything, so long as life stops being so normal and boring and dull. She wants her dreams and pops back.

In a blindly-chosen attempt to make some cash on her first month in FDC, Kaz will have a temp job doing room servicey things on the premesis (given the hotel is being used for more than love this week), and will mostly take on a human form to fit in the uniform. I will have a thread or post where you can leave messages or requests and Kazooie will come hijack your thread for the favor. Need fresh towels? Food? Sex toys? Lollipop refills? Lost something? Nothing is too NSFW for her to handle, but it isn't to say things can't surprise her.
