Thanks to Wheatley and GLaDOS, Flint has had his fill of science for the rest of his life, so he's going to do what he does best when he's stressed out: RUN AWAY AND BE A CRAZY MOUNTAIN MAN.

Not only that, but he's giving everyone an open invitation to come with!


This is happening THIS WEEKEND, September 7-9! It's just gonna be a for-fun pseudo-event thing so not a whole lotta planning is involved since we just had a lot of plot-heavy stuff.

It is very important to note that Flint's brand of camping is not your typical frou-frou, air-conditioned luxury cabins, lounging on the lakeside, eating s'mores by the fire style of camping. No, we're talking

HARDCORE WILDERNESS SURVIVAL.

You're going with nothing but the clothes on your back, and maybe a first aid kit and a few tools like a knife and some flint (hurr) and tinder. No toiletries because haha we don't have time for bathing. No food because you're going to hunt and kill your own meals. No amenities from home, and no electronics, save for characters who are robots. And absolutely, positively, NO SCIENCE.

Flint's going to make a man out of you, Smash Academy.

For Flint, this is will be some much needed R&R. But for most of you guys it will probably be hell. Don't worry, though, he's not going to dump you out in the woods at night to fend for yourself! He'll be around to teach everyone the finer points of fishing with a POINTY STICK, starting fires by BANGING ROCKS TOGETHER, and the best ways to OUTRUN ENRAGED BEARS. If you absolutely cannot take scraping lichen off the bottom of a rock for lunch, accidentally rub up against poison ivy, or are just a wuss, you're free to go back to civilization whenever you want, as we really won't be very far from FDC and school grounds. Flint might not realize that spear-fishing isn't everyone's idea of a good time, but he's no drill sergeant, either! However if he catches you with anything that was listed as verboten he will give you a very disapproving look. >:(

SO YES. In addition to Flint's survival lessons, everyone is free to screw around in the woods doing whatever they want, so if you have an idea of something you want to do, like fight the lake Gyrados, go spelunking in a random cave, or tell scary stories by the fire, that's cool, too!
