I've been on and off mentioning this in Personals Posts and gauging interest, and so THE TIME HAS COME FOR AN OOC POST. THIS... OOC POST.

DRUG PLOT

No school setting is complete without under-the-table distribution of illegal recreational substances, and dearest Smash Academy, your premisis is about to be infiltrated with some of these. Actually, you're too late. They are already here.



Wait, what, lollipops? Yes, these innocuous treats are actually very light starter drugs disguised as different colored lollipops. They're every bit as sweet and tasty as a real lollipop, and different colors will do different things. You can even mix and match colors for extra fun. Not everyone will react the same exact way, but they are VERY ADDICTIVE.

I mean it. They're drugs, they're addictive. If your dude takes a pop they will have an overwhelming desire to have more.

• RED POPS: Increase physical strength, durability, speed and stamina. Pain killer. May increase aggression, irritability, compulsive behavior and cause sweating or muscle spasms. You feel like you just Hulked Out and nothing is going to stop you and it feels great.
• ORANGE POPS: Increase concentration, memory and attention span, clarity of mind, attentiveness, heightened senses, insomnia and anxiety. You just heard a pin drop 1 mile away, aced that exam in three minutes and you feel like your brain is too great for this dimension.
• YELLOW POPS: Lower inhibitions, boost confidence, relaxation, euphoria, giggles, may cause some minor hallucinations or loss of perception of reality. LIFE IS GREAT, WHO CARES ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE, EVERYONE HAS SPARKLES AND CHERRY BLOSSOMS BEHIND THEM hey maybe you can fly off that roof if you tried really hard...
• GREEN POPS: Actually don't do anything while you're conscious other than make you sleepy. Take it before you sleep though and you'll have incredibly fantastic, realistic lucid dreams. You may even begin to confuse reality with your dreams, or envision future events. Normal life seems drab and futile by comparison and you ache to experience the transcendent beauty of your drug-induced dreams. Side effects may include depression, anxiety, paranoia, panic attacks and restlessness.
• BLUE POPS: Extreme hallucinations, euphoria, personal disassociation, loss of equilibrium, balance and coordination. That person's eyebrows totally just crawled off their face, and you're smelling colors. You're tripping balls maaaaaan. Also known as the Moonside Pop.
• PURPLE POPS: Aphrodisiac, stimulant, body temperature increase, some drooling or lack of motor-control, pheromone production increase, and increased sensitivity. Yeah, it's a sex drug.

· WHERE CAN I GET THEM? For the time being, only from Seth, but eventually his plan is to start entrusting other people to do his dirty work and be distributors. You should know drugs are very shady, dangerous business and Seth isn't about to tell someone what he's doing if he thinks he'll get in trouble for it. Or maybe you found one lying around and took it entirely by mistake...

· HOW MUCH DO THEY COST? Oh come on, you can't put a price on happiness. First one is free, but after that it's 20$ a pop.

· WHAT'S THE PLAN? If you become a distributor, YOU'LL BE ROLLING IN MONEY but you'll have to report back to Seth and give him his percentage of the earnings. If you're dumb and get CAUGHT you're also going to get in trouble, and not just with the authorities... Seth doesn't like losing profit, you know.

If you're a user, you'll get to play out the trials and tribulations and lulz of drug addiction! This is of course a very individualized experience, so feel free to play with the symptoms. Your personality may change, and you may feel like you're becoming an entirely different person. All other users (and distributors especially) will become friends you never knew you had, and anyone on the straight and narrow simply does not understand what it's like to be you anymore. If they aren't with you, they're against you, and someone you once called a good friend may soon become your wost enemy. The big idea behind this is INTERNAL CONFLICT. If you've seen that crack episode of American Dad you know what I'm talking about. If any of you remember the Gigi/Floro Sprout plot from long long ago, where brainwashed friends were pitted to fight against friends, think something like that, only this will be a much slower process. Drugs won't change someone overnight, and it won't stop them from being able to participate in other plots, and so forth. But eventually, something is going to break. Take your time, build it up, and create some drama. Fight with your friends, make it hurt.

· SO DOES THAT MEAN THERE IS A RESOLUTION TO THIS? CAN I HAVE MY CHARACTER INVESTIGATE INTO THIS GRANDE SCHEME? Yes! Yes you can! Surely it will only be a matter of time before someone not "in" starts to get suspicious about all these white sticks sticking out of everyone's mouths. Really, these drugs aren't the things you should be worrying about. Who is Seth's supplier? I can tell you one thing--they aren't on campus, and they quite possibly have far more sinister intentions for the "customers" of this operation...

However slow or fast this plot ends up going will be the result of however you guys play with it! If you have any questions FEEL FREE TO HIT ME UP! Let's make some beautiful music together.

What if the school underwent summer construction for like a week for SOME REASON, and everyone was temporarily housed in a hotel in FDC... but because there's some nerd convention in town or something that all the hotels are booked

This sort of event is not going to be mandatory to participate in, and if you do, sexytime will be equally OPTIONAL. Obviously we have many underage characters here, and even for those that are of age it's not every player's shtick. That is totally okay.

I'm pretty sure just having to spend a night in the funny themed rooms would be the focus of something like this.

Alternatively, you could say your character got lucky with a normal hotel nearby, or have them check out the nerd con that's going on in the city instead.
