Welcome spring time, Smash Academy. No doubt you've noticed the weather getting warmer and warmer by now; the lake is completely thawed out (probably still too cold for a swim, though), not a flake of snow is to be found anywhere, flowers are in bloom and local cherry blossom trees are turning vibrant hues of pink. New life is all around, so why not celebrate it? We present to you this spring, a Persona inspired event:
MARCH FESTIVAL!
(Thank you Jess for helping us with this part!) Traditionally Culture Day is held on November 3 in Japan, BUT! School culture festivals are usually worked into the curriculum and they're sort of like an open house for parents/potential students, not to mention an opportunity for students and teachers to HAVE FUN. The general (and admittedly very anime) gist is that clubs put together different events and each class is put in charge of their own ~special event~, whether that be serving food or putting up a museum-like exhibit or carnival games.
Since classes in Smash are more free form, we will have 5 events determined by students in each class bracket. (Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors and college students respectively.) Students may ask teachers or other faculty for their assistance, and similarly teachers and faculty are free to willingly assist whatever class bracket they choose. These class events will happen during the week of March 19th-23rd. (As a reminder, you can check out the calendar here.) You can do anything from Live Action Western Film Re-enaction Plays to Dance Competitions to Nancy Wrestling or Group Dating. The sky is the limit. The freshmen event will go on Monday, sophomore on Tuesday, ect.
But that's not all! Additionally, there will be two beauty pageants, along with a student/faculty auction, and a March 17th Beer festival so you kids can get your booze on this St. Patrick's Day. READ ON.
( READ ON, I SAID. )
