ACTIVITY CHECK

Comment with your name, character, character journal, character canon, and links to activity samples.

WHAT COUNTS AS ACTIVITY?

• A post or thread in smashacademy, smash_logs, or tegaki. Activity that occurs over AIM, in journals, musesboxes, or outside of that will NOT count, even if it is Smash-related. What you can do however, is copy that over into one of the acceptable places. For tegaki, it needs to be an actual log and not a for-funsies drawing.

• If it's a post, a single post will do, regardless of the comments it receives, or lack thereof. If you can get us samples that have comments though, we'd prefer that.

• If it's a thread, we're looking for at least 6 comments from you. (So 12 comments if they are talking to someone, and they cannot be 1-2 word exchanges, or icon chains. We need to see your character's voice!) It can be 6 comments in a single thread, or 6 total spread throughout different threads.

• You may provide more than one link if you feel it'll help you pass AC, so long as they fall within the time limits described below.

• If you provided an activity sample in the previous activity check that involves only one other character, you can not use an activity sample this time if it only involves that same character. If you provided an activity sample previously that features multiple characters with yours, you are fine. We're trying to encourage branching out with your CR, that's all.

You must provide samples dated from September 15th, 2014 - October 31st, 2014. Log starting dates do not matter, so long as the TAG DATES fall within the relevant time. You must fill out Activity Check by NOVEMBER 1st, or your dude will get das boot. If your character was accepted on or after October 25th, you are not required to provide samples. However! If you want to, that's totally cool, and we'd prefer it if you at least say you're here so we don't accidentally overlook you.

If you're on a documented hiatus after October 1st, you are not required to sign or provide samples, but again, if you want to go the extra mile, or are able to at least check in, we'd really appreciate that. Note that hiatuses posted during the Activity Check will not count.

We understand sometimes you're just not feeling a character or you're having a lack of inspiration, or maybe Real Life is really kicking your ass lately. If you're having trouble with a character, you can talk to any one of the mods and we'll be happy to listen. If you feel like you're character squatting but aren't sure what to do or aren't certain, discuss it with us and we'll do our best to help you come to a resolution. Letting go of a character is never easy, but we'd like to avoid character squatting as much as possible for the sake of our current and potential future players.

SMASH ACADEMY MODS WANT YOU

Do you like endless pizza parties and being a cool dude? Do you already enjoy the time you spend in Smash? Have a little to spare on Fridays?

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- ONCE A WEEK ON FRIDAYS be on plurk or AIM, preferably evening EST. While this is the time we prefer currently, we are flexible to schedule changes.
- Someone who will help us with apps. Canon knowledge not required, but helpful.
- Provide a second opinion on things like rule changes, event ideas, ect. Especially event ideas. THIS IS IMPORTANT WE LIKE DISCUSSING FUN THINGS.
- Someone who can update lists. HTML knowledge helpful but not necessary! We can teach you what to look for, it's not very complicated.
- Like the name Shadow Mod because that's probably what we'll call you.

Duties outside of the above such as acting as a liaison between two parties or enforcing disciplinary actions, etc, are NOT required of you. What we're looking for mostly is someone who can hang out with us Friday nights and help move things along especially if one of us can't make it that night.

If you enjoy Smash and want to be a bigger part of it go ahead and fill out a form. Don't be shy you are probably very qualified. Comments are SCREENED.
