Welcome Home, Smash!

Hello, hello! The time is here, the time is now! Smash Rising's first log is up, and it is ready for you. Are you ready for it? Let's find out in this handy dandy plotting post for all your question and plotty needs.

First Off, Join the communities!
If you haven't joined the two new communities yet (smashrising and smash_network), please do so! You're going to miss out on everything if you aren't following these comms. It'd also be cool if you could toss your dudes in the sorting hat if you haven't yet, since we'll be assigning random houses in a few days for characters not yet on there.

LET'S GAME.
In this log of new hopes and possibilities, your character can either wake up all on their lonesome or they can find themselves with another character in random locations! We highly encourage you to take this opportunity to branch beyond your usual CR and start off with someone new! In fact, you can sign up to be randomly assigned a 'roomie' and location if you find yourself indecisive!

And don't worry- characters with established CR will definitely be able to find each other. There's just a whole lot of mansion inbetween them.

Here's some details for you right off the bat- the mansion is really dumpy and kind of spooky. There's no electricity, but a lot of rooms have fireplaces (not lit) and it's dry at least. Characters can go outside! Characters that are outside can go inside! Characters will probably want to find out where they are and see if they can't find any clues to what's going on.
