ACTIVITY CHECK

Comment with your name, character, character journal, character canon, and links to activity samples.

REMINDER: Activity check is now MONTHLY, as set forth in this post. Please note the dates for acceptable activity.

WHAT COUNTS AS ACTIVITY?

• A post or thread in smashacademy, smash_logs, or tegaki. Activity that occurs over AIM, in journals, musesboxes, or outside of that will NOT count, even if it is Smash-related. What you can do however, is copy that over into one of the acceptable places. For tegaki, it needs to be an actual log and not a for-funsies drawing.

• If it's a post, a single post will do, regardless of the comments it receives, or lack thereof. If you can get us samples that have comments though, we'd prefer that.

• If it's a thread, we're looking for at least 6 comments from you. (So 12 comments if they are talking to someone, and they cannot be 1-2 word exchanges, or icon chains. We need to see your character's voice!) It can be 6 comments in a single thread, or 6 total spread throughout different threads.

• You may provide more than one link if you feel it'll help you pass AC, so long as they fall within the time limits described below.

• If you provided an activity sample in the previous activity check that involves only one other character, you can not use an activity sample this time if it only involves that same character. If you provided an activity sample previously that features multiple characters with yours, you are fine. We're trying to encourage branching out with your CR, that's all.

You must provide samples dated from January 1st, 2014 - January 31st, 2015. Log starting dates do not matter, so long as the TAG DATES fall within the relevant time. You must fill out Activity Check by January 31st, or your dude will get das boot. If your character was accepted on or after January 24th, you are not required to provide samples. However! If you want to, that's totally cool, and we'd prefer it if you at least say you're here so we don't accidentally overlook you.

If you're on a documented hiatus after January 1st, you are not required to sign or provide samples, but again, if you want to go the extra mile, or are able to at least check in, we'd really appreciate that. Note that hiatuses posted during the Activity Check will not count.

We understand sometimes you're just not feeling a character or you're having a lack of inspiration, or maybe Real Life is really kicking your ass lately. If you're having trouble with a character, you can talk to any one of the mods and we'll be happy to listen. If you feel like you're character squatting but aren't sure what to do or aren't certain, discuss it with us and we'll do our best to help you come to a resolution. Letting go of a character is never easy, but we'd like to avoid character squatting as much as possible for the sake of our current and potential future players.

GAME DATES

Please take note of the following dates:
• December 7th will be our FIRST DAY OF SNOW. As mentioned on personals, after that day you can expect to see white on the ground more often than not.
• December 14th will kick off KISSTLETOES. A Smash Academy favorite, Kisstletoes are enchanted mistletoe that start springing up all over campus and may freeze your character in place (or do other whacky Smash Academy styled things) until they are smooched by someone.
• December 19th will mark LAST DAY OF CLASSES and the start of WINTER BREAK. Winter break will end JANUARY 2ND, 2015 and classes will resume Monday, the 5th.
