EVENT WRAP-UP

As of Monday, September 1st, the subspace rift is closed.

◎ An intrepid group led by ROB discovers Professor Hector's subspace research deep within the island's laboratories, enabling them to reverse the effects of the subspace bomb and seal up the rift. The how will be backdated, for anyone who still wants to take part.
◎ With the closing of the rift ceases any and all dimensional breakdowns--subspace portals disappear, shadow bugs retreat into the bunkers, and alternate universe versions of characters become themselves again.
◎ Stray subspace monsters can still be found wandering the city, but with nowhere to return to, it won't be difficult to finish them off.
◎ Though Master Hand is, of course, always available for your NPC needs, Luigi has gone back from whence he came, taking the secrets of his universe (and its potential relationship to the school) with him. Mods will still tag both his post and Master Hand's open thread, however, if you're still looking for answers! We'll backdate this for as long as we need to.
◎ All is well.

And not a moment too soon, because classes resume Monday, September 8th, with one big change.

◎ The Island of the Ancients will remain a permanent part of Smash's setting. It will continue to float above the school, and is open for any and all manner of adventures. Though the subspace monsters will eventually dissipate from the city, they will remain on the island, so adventure cautiously! All other details regarding labs, bunkers, etc. on the island set forth in this post and the event log will apply indefinitely. Who knows what you might find?
◎ That said, the overarching mystery of why this happened and how it relates to the school is still available for investigation, however, characters who return to the bunkers will find that the room full of subspace bombs can no longer be found. All bunker details set forth in this post still apply.
